With so many people to suspect, the officers were being driven nuts. In the end after a lot arguing, they decided to go ahead and kill Soulkiller.
Unfortunately for them, Soulkiller turned out to be Mello and he had a bomb strapped to him. He detonated it for being lynched unreasonably and LogicNoJutsu got trapped in the explosion and died.
LogicNojutsu was an officer.
