If you think its good, then I'll continue. There's gonna be a poll. If you're a reader of my other works then I'm sorry for the delays, I'll release the latest chaps of the Unknown Tales of Minato/Itachi/ Senju Bros tonight. I'm travelling home right now and my battery won't last much longer. Been super busy with college stuff. Sorry y'all. Anyways, vote

“Arrrgh..........This ****ing hurts! What am I doing here!? Arrrgh!!” a young man dressed in a ragged suit which is spotted crimson all over with his own blood screamed as he continued to writhe in pain on the ground in a barren wasteland.

“Ah, I see the transformation as begun.” a voice is heard behind the man in the suit. He managed to turn around to see its source. His eyes immediately widened with shock as he beheld a large skull which bore a smaller skull in its mouth, attached to a large globe-like body with many small claws protruding from its underside as it was suspended in the air by a number of chains. Noticing the extreme shock on the man's face, the skulls spoke at the same time. “You scared or something?”

“What the ****...arrrgh!” The man continues to scream in pain.

“I am the the Shinigami King,” the skulls started in unison, “you may call me....” he paused for a moment to think, “the Shinigami King.”

The man continued to roll around in the dirt as he continued to suffer the extreme discomfort, causing the sand to mix in with his blood which gushed out endlessly from his torso and one of his hands yet these wounds were not the source of his pain. “ARGHHHH!!!!!!! What the **** do you want with me? I'm supposed to be dead and in nothingness!”

“Well, I wanted to give you the opportunity to become a Shinigami but it seems you aren't interested.” the Shinigami King said in a bored tone as he looked at the young man through four eye sockets, unfazed by his excruciating pain.

“Me? Shinigami? Arrrgh!! Why?!”

“You're the kid Ryuk picked on, right? The one who told that bastard about apples? The one known as Yagami Light.” The Shinigami King asked in a gruff and enthusiastic voice.

“Yeah.” Light replied in a severely strained voice. “So what?”

“What other pleasures do the human world hold for us Shinigami? Will you be able to entertain us all as much as you did Ryuk...or do you prefer the dark abyss of death? Will you become a Shinigami?”

“With the power of a Shinigami, I can fulfill my destiny and become a god! Of course I do!”

“Ambitious. I'll have you know that once your transformation is complete, your name amongst a few other things will be all you can remember.”

Elsewhere, in an unknown world which shone with bright light in every corner, a man lay unconscious on the smooth and transparent floor which seemed to be made of glass. The man wore a rough looking white shirt and jeans. He had spiky hair of moderate length and severe bags underneath both eyes indicating lack of sleep. A small twitch of his toes indicated that some life had come back to him and he blinked a few times before his eyes sprung open. He immediately squinted as the bright light entered his eyes then sat up before placing his palm below the left side of his chest. There was no movement within him from what he could feel. “Nothing, no heartbeat....am I dead?” he asked in a rather calm voice as the toes of his right leg scratched against those of his left.

“Yes...and no L Lawliet” a female voice answered from behind him. He turned around the see who it was. He observed a very young girl, white long, white hair, dressed in white gown which reached her tiny feet staring at him with a cheerful expression through white-colored eyes.

“My name...how did you...who are you?”

“I'm a watcher.” she replied.

“Watcher?” he asked, confused as he stood up and began to survey the vast emptiness that was his surroundings.

“A Watcher's job is to monitor and control the use of the Death Note on Earth. We prevent Shinigami from killing too many people in order to extend their lives.”

“Well, you haven't been doing a very good job.” said L. “Kira slaughters humans everyday with one of these Death Notes, myself included.”

“You are making two mistakes. Firstly, we only have jurisdiction over the use of a Death Note by a Shinigami, we can't control mankind. Secondly, you are not dead.” she corrected with a warm smile.

“Then where am I? I have to stop Kira, no, Yagami Light. Yagami Light is without a doubt Kira.” L said with a serious expression on his sleep deprived face as he put both hands in the pocket of his jeans.

“You have been reborn, its been ten years since you left Earth.” she explained. “You should count yourself lucky, only a handful of people have escaped death in this way.”

“Ten years, you say.” L commented, completely calm and unfazed.

“Kira was stopped...by Nate River.”

A silence followed as L's lips curved into a smile. “So, Near did it, I'm glad. At the end, Justice did prevail.” His smile disappeared when he took note of the sad expression on the little Watcher's face. “What...what's wrong?”

“Its not over yet. Something more horrible than the Kira incident has begun.” she replied with a serious expression as her wide eyes shifted downwards and narrowed in sorrow.

“What do you mean?” L asked curiously. “What happened in the last ten years?”

“Yagami Light...has become a Shinigami.” she answered softly. L's eyes widened and his jaw dropped in utter shock. “He's returned to the human world with the power of death and the same evil intention to 'cleanse the world of evil'”

L took a deep breath as he bought himself. “If he truly has that power then there is no way to stop him. He can kill whomever he wishes.”

“Again, you are wrong and for two reasons.” the Watcher began, “Firstly, a Shinigami is forbidden from killing a human for a reason other than to extend their own life. If they do it to favour another human or for some personal reason then the Shinigami will die. Secondly, we, the Watchers, would have stopped Light if he began a killing spree since he, as a Shinigami, is within our juridsiction.”

“So, that means he isn't killing his targets directly. He must be acting through a human...like a Shinigami once used him.” L deduced as he scratched his shaggy hair with his right hand and took a seat on the glass-like floor.

“That is partly correct, it is much worse.” she corrected as she ran her petite hand through her long white hair. “He is acting through an army of humans.”

“That makes things a bit more interesting. Can I have some ice-cream?” L asked with a wide-eyed expression reminiscent of a child.

“You sound rather confident. If you lose this time, I might not be able to save you.”

“I'm afraid you are wrong on two things; firstly, I am not confident, I only stated that things are more interesting this way. Secondly, I didn't lose, I may have lost my life but in actuality, I won. L stands for justice and L triumphed over Kira. Lawliet was merely a pawn for L.”

Need....more... epic ending, loved it ,

His quote from my sig kinda played a part at the end ^.^
Well it was inspired by the quote in your sig. :scorps:
I really hated that Light managed to kill L so I've learnt to look at the fact that L's successor put an end to Light as a victory for L as well. After all he said 'I am justice' and told the Japanese Police that and the end 'Justice will prevail' which happened so I guess L prevailed :scorps: thanks for reading man! Have some :ice:
