Chapter 4
Light the shinigami heads up to Kira's room.
"Your new life begins here Kira."
Says light.
Kira is busy examining the notebook, flicks his messy blonde hair and looks up at light..
"Ok, well start giving instruction then."
"Fine," says light as he begins to explain.
"This notebook can kill someone just by writing their name in it, but you must be thinking of their face as well. That's basically it, I mean their are other rules, but ill leave that up to you to read. Also unlike in my time, "I" will aid you every step of the way, because you are my son, and the new Kira."
"Ok well when do I start? I'm pretty anxious to test this out."
Ask Kira.
"Well I have one way to test it out, but you have to find a picture of a certain man first, or see his face whichever comes first."
Says light.
Kira continues to stare as if waiting for light to finish talking.
Light continues..
"This is the name of the man who brough me down when I was Kira, so its only fitting that he be your first target. His name is Nate Rivers, he goes by the name "Near" I would kill him myself but their are reasons why that cannot happen. So first I want you to.."
Light is cut off by Kira..
"You want me to spit in his face by showing him that Kira is back by killing criminals, draw him out then kill him correct?"
Says Kira.
"Exactly you are sharp indeed, a perfect candidate for Kira."
Says light.
"Well let us begin the killing spree, and like I said I'm doing things differently, the world will know of Kira's existence, and intentions from the get go. Now let me watch the news and look for criminals, or better yet.. where does "near" operate out of? I assume he's a cop if he brought you down."
Says Kira.
"Well he operated out of this city, the city of Los Angeles, i made sure Misa moved here after I was killed, in order to give you better opportunity to find and kill Near."
"Good then it shouldn't be hard to find him, ill bait him out, but first what's his organization name? Or is he with the LAPD?"
Ask Kira.
"His organization name is SPK, but I'm sure it disbanded after my death, so I don't know what name they could be using now or where they are located."
Kira looks irritated and rubs his eyes and sighs, then says
"Well, use your shinigami powers and fly and find him, nobody can see you unless they touch the book right?"
"Correct, but I won't have too much more of you ordering me around, understood?"
Says light in a demanding tone as he slowly lowers himself through the floor back down to the living room where Misa is sitting.
"So is he willing to cooperate?"
Ask Misa.
"More than willing, he's a natural and I have faith that he can create my ideal world.."
Says light. A few seconds pass of silence as Misa just looks at the ground smiling.
"It's finally happening, a perfect world, thank you light, for all of this, I am so grateful to you, my god."
"Don't thank me, it hasn't just yet its.."
Light is interrupted by a terrified look on Misa's face,
"Misa?"
Says light confused.
Misa clutches her chest and drops to the floor off the couch, she stares at the stairs and Kira walks down looking like he is pleased with what he see's. She fades away quietly...
Light looks over to Kira.
"Why did you do that?, she could of been of great help to you ya know."
Says light.
"Well I had to see if it worked right? She seemed to be the easiest target, plus she will still be of help don't worry."
Says Kira.
"You are much colder than I ever was, I'm going to enjoy the creation of this new world... Now let us truly begin."
Says light as he heads out to find information on the SPK and Near, while Kira stands over his dead mother. A tear falls from his face, and a large grin appears.
"I can't believe I have this power...its exciting.... I will rule with an iron fist.."
