Death Note, my opinion (spoilers)

So after finishing Death Note in 2 days (watching 28 episodes on one day) I gotta say that it was pure awesomeness. Story is great, characters etc. my hard keeped bumping loud all the way long. But I gotta say that I hated Light tbh... He deserved the Death, not only by killing all these people, but also how he manipulated everyone. Misa for example, he was so disrepectful, I keep feeling sorry for her. She even made the Eye-Deal 2 times and in the aftermath she commited suicide.
What I don't like was the way Light was convicted. Just compare the plan to trick L (which was a masterpiece) and the plan to trick Near. After fooling L and even erasing his memory knowing everything is going according to plan so brilliantly, and even putting Rem in this situation was mastermind. But then he failed to trick Near, what a pitty. It's such a mistake by Light not to think about the fact that Near might also have the clue that his opponents changed the Notebook with a fake one. I mean even I thought about that. He knew Mikami was beeing observated 24/7. And he didn't think about that? I mean, c'mon cuh.

Non the less, I love this anime. 10/10, I love this kind of anime, this crime, drama and thriller mix.
So I got to search for a new Anime/Manga again. Don't know what to pick up tho...

Read the last 2 chapters of the manga. It's different from the anime. Light dies differently (sorta) and Matsuda has a theory. I agree with you though. Death Note is by far my favourite series I've ever watched and/or read. The film is not as good IMO but not bad.

Didn't watch the movie, actors are looking weird in the trailer and I think that would mess my thought up about it somehow

Near and Melo nearly (haha) ruined the 2nd half. Light got complacent since he was basically facing children. Light should have won. I prefer the alt ending better

No I haven't watched anything except Naruto and Death Note for now, some episodes of One Piece here and there but meeeh.. It's really hard to find something for myself tbh..

He didn't have feelings for anybody anymore. That's what I hated, even as his father died he didn't care. I was happy he died...

Light in my opinion is an incredible character but i wasn't on his side me and his opinions of justice was the complete opposite after L died i couldn't stand him ppl who follow his idelas (kira worshipers) are just as pathetic as he is they sicken me. Light at first was a good guy and i was kinda routing for him when he started talking about being the God of the new world and he will kill all who attempt to stop him just confirmed my aliegence to the task force and NPK i went with them all the way because i knew that Kira must die Light must die it was great when Matsuda shot him because i loved that part Matsuda the idiot FTW but then as he was dying (anime) running across the street in pain having flashbacks of what it would be like if he hadn't picked up the death note
