If you haven't finished Death Note, don't read.

This isn't a theory, merely an observation. In the Death Note episode "Silence," L is shown to be washing (or I suppose, drying) Light's feet.

He then goes on to say, "How sad. We'll soon part."

Later, Light is shown embracing L as he falls to his death.

Okie dokie, now let's compare. At the Last Supper, Jesus cleaned the feet of his disciples, including Judas. He said to his disciples, "My children, I will be with you only a little longer. . . " which is eerily similar to what L says to Light. When Judas betrayed Jesus to the pharisees, he said "You will know who to arrest, he is the man I embrace." Light deliberately embraces L as he is dying, even though L is his enemy and Light wants nothing more than to see him dead.

Also, according to the gospel of John, "As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him." I believe the Death Note is like the bread, in this case. As soon as Light Yagami came into possession of the Death Note, evil entered him.

Like I said, just an observation. :bye:
