Damn dude...that was really good. Great job and thanks for sharing! 11 minutes spent well :win: Death Note is one of my favorite animes of all time (1st half was definitely better than 2nd but nevertheless awesome).

IMO of the two, I think L was definitely a more morally "good" character than Light. Although he did break the rules in cases, I think in some situations rules might have to be broken to save lives. Light's initial motive might have seemed like justice to him but in the end it was still murdering people and it wasn't in his power to decide whether someone lives or not. Furthermore, the justice system in many parts of the world are corrupt and may have cases where people are wrongly accused. For all we know, Kira probably killed some innocent people thinking they were "bad". In the end, his initial motive disappeared as Kira took over and he would do whatever it takes to get what he wants. So in my books he was the antagonist. (Still badass though :p)

Thanks again :)

I do for all of them. The Naruto the Messiah one was hell to edit -.- It's the area I hope to go into though so i'm accustomed to spending 4-5 hours on a project. It's hard work but it's worth it.

Thank you! Awesome to hear good response man, yeah same- it's just a genius bit of fiction really. I'm actually one who likes the 2nd half just as much. There is a boring part of the manga just before the Yotsuba Business stuff but it's mostly perfectly placed. It helps that I really like Mello & Near.

Makes a lot of sense. The overall point is that both are not absolutes. You see L as more morally 'right' but that's only in the realms of our sense of justice. We've been brought up in a world of 'traditional' law and justice. Light is a representative of a new way of thinking and a new code of right and wrong that nobody else wants to admit but clearly several people agree with. L isn't simply more right, he's just more traditionally right. It's less about good VS evil and more about new good VS old good.

Though I do agree with you about L being more right overall than Kira. The one part I wasn't able to put in the editorial was my personal moment I stopped calling Kira the protagonist, it was the moment he killed Naomi. Because of how much twisted fun he had doing it,

The first time he killed an innocent and saw it as a game. I dropped him as my moral compass and started rooting for L and the police force.
