In part 3 I concluded with Jura stating that there is chakra in living and dead creatures. This has to do with Boruto because technically he's 82% dead. His data was overwritten by Momoshiki before the time skip. The remaining 18% was preserved so that he could continue as Momoshiki's anchor to the world of the living.
Theoretically when he activates Momoshiki's data by using his karma seal he experiences a change in chakra nature. It changes from living to dead and he is only 18% percent alive.
Ever wonder why his dojutsu is referred to as the Pure Eye? Perhaps it's because he's dead which allows him to use Pure Land chakra.
