“Lord Fourth!” Spoke a woman with a very high pitched voice. She peaked her head through the slightly open door, raising a hand to use her index finger and prod her glasses back up the bridge of her nose. “Lord Third would like to come in.”

“Let him in. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen my old friend Hiruzen-Sama”

Minato was seated in the chair behind the Hokage’s desk, managing his daily task of stamping and authorizing documents and missions. There had been a lot of paperwork discussing the movements of the Akatsuki and most notably Itachi Uchiha. Having captured already seven tailed beast and almost the eighth, the Akatsuki brought about much controversy over the last few weeks. Being a Jinchuuriki himself, it worried the village that they might have to suffer the loss of a Hokage if the organization ever came after them. But Minato couldn’t worry himself too much about his future conflicts. He had a village to lead and it was very essential for him to remain calm. He also had a sixteen year old child who constantly put himself in dangerous positions, such as his battle with Deidara of the Akatsuki. This was understandable, as the Akatsuki had already attacked his friend Gaara of the hidden sand as well as Sasuke Uchiha, under the orders of his brother Itachi. Through an encounter with an overwhelming number of Akatsuki members, Sasuke’s eyes were stolen and replaced with Itachi’s, who took Sasuke’s eyes as his own. Yes, Akatsuki had been very troublesome lately, which is probably the matter of the discussion with Hiruzen.

“Minato…” Spoke a wary old voice as an elderly man crept through the office room door. “We have a problem….”

“Hello to you too, Hiruzen-Sama. It’s been a while.”

Hiruzen grumbled as he worked his way towards a seat, sitting himself down and allowing a sigh to escape his lips. Hiruzen looked weak, which would be understandable for someone of his age. But the fight he engaged in some few years ago against Orochimaru certainly took it’s toll on his body. He walked with a slight limp that he had to balance out with his oak wooden cane, and his back was hunched so he seemed to always be arched over.

“Yes, it has. And in that while a certain organization has been stirring up trouble amongst the five great nations.”

There he goes. Always getting right to the point.

“Being a kage, I know that much. Brief on the current situation with the Akatsuki. What have they been up to lately?”

Hiruzen shifted in his chair, a sign of discomfort for the subject. “Minato, bodies have been found scattered along the path from the hidden rain village to the hidden leaf.” Hiruzen paused for a moment to catch his breath, throwing in a cough just for the hell of it. “One would assume that the hidden rain village is plotting to attack us soon, but we know better.”

“What is it, Hiruzen-Sama?”

“They’re coming for you and Naruto, the Akatsuki. Until they’ve located the Eight tailed beast they’ll settle with capturing the Ninth.”

Minato grunted, cupping his fist together and placing his chin onto them. “I was afraid that this would happen. But it was to be expected, as I am a Jinchuuriki.”

Minato could recalled so long ago, the night of the incident that struck the hidden leaf village. His heart skipped a beat every time he remembered his wife Kushina who laid dying at his feet. “Minato,...” She managed to speak in her weakened voice. “I would never forgive you if you died with me. Don’t leave Naruto alone, he needs a parent to be there for him. Promise to raise him to be a strong man that I can be proud of. Raise him to be like you.” She pleaded. After Minato had finally promised, she drew her last dying breath before she was gone forever.

“Minato!” Hiruzen shouted, snapping the man back into reality. “You have to stay focus. We need to rendezvous with a the ANBU corporation and a few other Shinobi. Maybe that Kakashi student of yours.”

“Kakashi Hatake, i’ll arrange for him to be there. He’s a very good man, very reliable.”

“You taught him well, i’m sure. We’ll need all the intelligence we can get in order to strategize our counter-attack.” Hiruzen explained. “Minato, another Uchiha will attack the village. We cannot allow ourselves to fall back into the same tragedy that destroyed our village so long ago.”

Minato remembered just perfectly when it first happened, the Madara Uchiha’s crimson reds hues glowing like stars beneath the darkness of his mask. He had experience with fighting Uchiha, and new what to expect.

“Naruto is most likely to be gone during the attack, which is better to keep him away from the Akatsuki” Minato noted.

“Naruto will be leaving? Where is he going and why?”

“A retrieval mission, to bring back his friend Sasuke.”

“Ah the young Uchiha, brother of Itachi. What happened to him?” Hiruzen wondered

“He was attacked by a group of Akatsuki, who stole his eyes to give to Itachi. In return, he was given Itachi’s eyes and now they both share a new found power according to the reports. But Sasuke has left to find his brother and avenge his clan. To think of the trouble that Itachi has put the boy through, killing his parents, disappearing for years and sending people to steal his eyes. That’s enough to drive any man insane.”

“I see…” Hiruzen concurred.

“And not to mention that he---” Minato was about to add to his last sentence when a sudden eeriness has silenced them both.

A heavy chakra began flowing through the air. It was malevolent and turbulent, slamming so much pressure onto Minato and Hiruzen that they would have to use their full strength and will to stay seated or stand up. The very texture of the chakra resonated darkness and hatred. It was repulsive and quite disgusting, and could only be identified as that of an Uchiha’s.

“This is---”

“Itachi. He has arrived much sooner than expected.” Hiruzen exclaimed. His words were followed by the booming crackle of a sudden explosion that devastated the area, a considerable portion of the village engulfing in flames. Minato stood up quickly, storming towards the window behind him. He clenched his fist angrily as he watched his village shroud in flames, turning back towards his desk and retrieving his special triple pronged kunai from his desk.

Hiruzen turned around to address the woman who had been standing behind them the entire time. An assistant maybe, or a guard who escorted him around the village. “Gather the Anbu and Hyuuga Police Officers, tell them to began evacuating the citizens and preparing for defense.”

The woman nodded, spinning on her heels in a rush to exit the room. Hiruzen growled in a fit of anger, turning back in his chair.

“Minato---” Hiruzen uttered before pausing. His eyes shifted towards Minato only to find an empty space where the man had been standing. “The knucklehead is rushing into battle all by himself!” He complained before settling down. “Very well. If there is anyone who can prevent this situation right now it’s Minato, considering that I am in no condition to fight.”

Meanwhile, Minato raced through the air, leaping from roof to roof in direct pursuit of Itachi. He used his basic skills in sensing chakra to follow a path towards the Uchiha’s location until he arrived in a quiet part of the village, grassy, training dummies posted around on wooden sticks. The Training Grounds. He landed in a tree, his eyes scouting the area for Itachi. Once he had seen him, he lifted his triple pronged kunai and threw it directly towards him, ready to engage in battle.

A single kunai, with three metal prongs and a white paper seal at its handle, dug into the soft soil of the Training Grounds, a beam of yellow light flashing behind it.

"I know you're here..." Minato spoke, his voice laced confidence. "You were once a great Shinobi, a very loyal comrade of the hidden leaf. But this level of violence is intolerable. I’m going to have to end things here and now".

A single crow perched itself some few meters on the ground in front of Minato, pecking at specs of grass and small insects or briefly looking towards Minato with curious eyes before being joined by a larger flock of crows. As they gathered, their form began to merge and converge, joining together to form a humanoid-like figure. "Do not judge what you cannot begin to understand, Hokage." Echoed a deep voice all around Minato. Finally Itachi's features could be distinguished from the humanoid figure manifesting before Minato. "I'll make you tremble before the power of my Sharingan."

Minato bent down, picking up his triple pronged Kunai. "Your sharingan, hm?" He uttered. "Then let's begin"
He launched his Kunai forward, aiming to have it pass the Uchiha's face as he followed close behind it. As his kunai had just passed Itachi, he had just arrived in front of the Uchiha, a small rasengan formed on the palm of his hand. He thrusted the rasengan forth, coming so close to hitting Itachi that he was surprised the man hadn’t made an attempt to dodge already. His form quickly disappeared in a flash of light as he utilized his space-time ninjutsu to materialize his body the location of his kunai, which had been behind Itachi. With his rasengan already fully formed and mid-thrust it was less than a second before it made contact with the Uchiha’s back. “This ends now…” Minato exclaimed, confident that a direct hit from his rasengan would do considerable damage to the man. However, on contact with the rasengan, Itachi’s body quickly dispersed into a massive flock of crows. The crows quickly flew in a very particular manner, spinning around the circumference of Minato like a whirlwind. He felt as if he were in the middle of a hectic tornado, constant cawing and flapping wings overwhelming his sense of hearing. However he stood ground and calmed himself, allowing him to think more clearly as he waited to anticipate the enemy's next attack. A crow swept down from the enormous flock around him, with such speed and at such an odd angle that Minato couldn’t react in time. As it shot past his face a small cut appeared over his cheekbone.

“Minato, wake up!” Boomed a monotonously deep voice from around him. No, from inside his mind. “He’s using Genjutsu to conceal the appearance of his attacks.”

“Kurama…?” Minato asked with surprise, almost startled by his sudden input in the situation. “Ah, thank you.”

Now having been made aware of the genjutsu and having it dispelled by his tailed beast, he looked towards the next crow that shot towards him, which wasn’t a crow at all, but a shuriken. He quickly ducked, diving forward to avoid the shuriken while also retrieving his own Hiraishin Kunai from the ground. His head shot up as his eyes darted towards the sky, noting the open hole present at the top of whirlwind of crows. He launched his kunai upward, quickly utilizing his space-time ninjutsu to appear at it's place, in the sky. When in mid air, he faced the sky, but quickly shifted his body to turn towards the ground, another rasengan forming in his free hand. “Cho Odama Rasengan!” He shouted as he propelled back into the eyes of the storm of crows, a small explosion of chakra occurring quickly after as crows were sprawled left and right. As smoke and dust cleared, Minato could be seen standing at the center of a crater.

“Enough of these mind games, Itachi.” Minato said impatiently. “Come out and fight me.”

Itachi quickly reformed yet again a few feet ahead of Minato, who quickly shot his hands into his ninja tool sash, retrieving some few Hiraishin Kunai and scattering them amongst the battlefield. Minato then launched forward, his fist clenched and in mid punch as he swung towards Itachi's face. Itachi’s precognition allowed his to read through the attacks, but he was barely able to avoid most of them as Minato was incredibly fast. They went along that way for quite a while, engaging in close quarter combat that shook the very earth as they fought. Caught off guard by overwhelming speed, Itachi was delivered a fist to his chin and sent flying a few feet away, his feet screeching on the ground as he landed.

’His speed his overwhelmingly fast. At it’s current state, my Sharingan won’t be able to keep up.’ Itachi thought to himself.

He closed his eyes, which began to bleed on both sides as he summoned his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, his eyes opening to reveal newly shaped tomoes that seemed to spin like fans as he shifted his gaze towards Minato, who didn’t return the eye contact. “It’s useless. You can’t avoid Tsukiyomi for long…” Itachi chimed in, as it was obvious what Minato was doing.

“I’ve studied the reports. I know that I should be fine as long as I avoid eye contact and don’t look at your hands. You won’t fool me…” Minato said. “But by the feel of this chakra…” he added under his breath. “I can tell that you’ve activated the eternal mangekyou sharingan spoken of in the reports…and if that’s the case then…”

Suddenly a flicker of chakra appeared at Minato’s feet, rising up his legs and towards his torso. Like flames, this chakra seemed to lick gently at the air, it yellow colour coruscating brightly as he summoned the power of his tailed beast. It was a cloak of chakra, one granted to him by his tailed passenger, Kurama.

“I might as well reveal my Trump Card too…”

Itachi’s eyes widened for a brief moment before he began weaving hand signs without hesitation, puckering his lips as fire chakra was built within his chest. “Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu” He noted mentally, inhaling deeply before exhaling, his lips releasing a massive ball of fire towards Minato. As it raced towards Minato, Itachi would utilize Amaterasu to transform the simple Katon into a massive ball of black flames that ate away at the ground as it propelled towards Minato.

“Amaterasu!” The two had said simultaneously, Minato's voice laced with surprise as he stood paused for a moment before racing towards the ball of fire. As he picked up speed, he lost his form, leaving him to be perceived only as a fast line of light that simply swooped around the ball of fire and launched straight towards Itachi. “Such speed…” Itachi uttered in commendation for the Hokage’s abilities. At that time, Minato was not too far ahead of Itachi, his cloak of tailed beast chakra seeming to form two hands that created massive balls of spiraling spherical chakra at their palms. “Twin Chou Odama Rasengan!” Minato shouted as he launched forward, ripples of compressed air and sound bursting behind him.

“But…” Itachi continued “My sharingan should be able to keep up with---” and then suddenly he paused mid sentence, and rightfully so, as Minato had just disappeared right before his very eyes, appearing beside the Hiraishin Kunai placed on the ground behind Itachi. ’When did he…’ Itachi thought before widening his eyes as he recalled when Minato had scattered his kunai all over the battlefield.

“It’s over, Itachi…!” Minato shouted as the arms of his chakra cloak launched the two enormous rasengans toward Itachi. Itachi could only widen his eyes further as there was an enormous explosion of chakra that ate away at the forest around them like paper to a fire. Wind and dust flew turbulently around, like the roar of a beast, causing many citizens in the village nearby to be blown away, despite the fact that the village walls should have acted as a shield to the massive winds. Apparently the winds were too great in strength and simply climbed over the walls.

“Minato, that last attack consumed a lot of chakra...I may need time to restore it.” Spoke a deep, monotonous voice in the Hokage’s head, presumably Kurama’s. “It’s okay, there’s no need for that. This fight is over…” Minato answered.

Just as he was going to deactivate his chakra cloak, he sensed an ominous chakra. It had the same texture as Itachi’s only darker, colder, and more heavy. Almost suffocating. He widened his eyes as he turned towards Itachi, only to meet the feet of a massive orange figure that stood like a skyscraper in the air. As the smoke cleared, it could be seen fully dressed in armor, holding a large shield in its left hand and a handle in its right. “You almost got me, Hokage. That last attack would have killed me had I not used this.” The massive figure coruscated in the sunlight as it stood before Minato. “My perfect susano’o”.

At the very top of a tall pine tree, a small flicker of light occurred. Minato appeared near instantaneously at it’s place, his Hiraishin Kunai gripped tightly in his chakra cloaked hand. As he scanned over the top of the forest, he could see that it was undoubtedly daytime, mid afternoon at the least. However, casted over him and a massive portion of the surrounding land was an enormous shadow. It was as if the moon had found itself in front of the sun, causing a widespread solar eclipse to devastate the area. Only, it wasn’t a moon at all, and this was not a solar eclipse. It was Itachi Uchiha’s susano’o, and this was hell. Standing at a gigantic fifty or maybe even one hundred feet, was a colossal humanoid figure. It had low opacity, allowing keen eyes to spot Itachi who stood at the center of it’s forehead inside some sort of diamond shaped protrusion. It was heavily armored, bearing an attire like that of a Samurai, with large tile-like wings retracted onto it’s back. At its left hand, it held a large shield with a design that swirled into it’s center, and at its right hand, it held an odd gourd-like handle. Minato grunted, as he was baffled and unable to respond to such a massive amount of power.

“K-kurama…” He stuttered under his breath. “Were you able to regain any chakra?”

“Not enough to assist you in this situation. You’ll have to hold out a little longer, Minato.” The voice in his head replied.

Minato nodded reluctantly, calming himself before preparing to encounter the large entity.

“This ends now, Hokage” Boomed Itachi’s heavy voice from the Susano’o.

Minato growled, raising his kunai with intent to throw it. He had to stall for as long as he could while Kurama gathered enough chakra to face the giant beast.

“Let’s do this---” Minato said, before noticing a small flicker of light in the giant handle that the Susanoo's right hand held. In a matter of seconds, a large beam of light raced quickly towards Minato, who just barely managed to shunshin out of it’s way. As he managed to gain some distance from the attack, he realized that it was not a beam of light at all. That handle had released an enormous blade of chakra that seemed to tear through the land with ease, sucking in everything in it’s path.

“This must be….” Minato remembered what he had read from the reports. When a squad of anbu had overwhelmed Itachi Uchiha with numbers, he summoned the upper body of his Susano’o and utilized a spiritual weapon known as the the ’Totsuka Blade’. From the reports, this blade had the ability to seal any form of chakra within the gourd-like handle. Only one survivor managed to escape Itachi’s wrath, noting that all his friends were pulled into the gourd. What happened to them afterwards, he did not know.

“But the Totsuka Blade should only be able to absorb chakra-based objects,...so why is it…” Minato wondered as trees and ground were sealed in, even the air seeming to be dragged towards the blades pull. “Using the complete Susano’o must allow the Totsuka Blade to seal anything from chakra-based to non chakra-based organisms.”

Minato growled under his breath. “I’ll have to engage him eventually, but I must keep away from that Totsuka Blade of his.”

“Come out, come out, wherever you are, Hokage!” Itachi shouted, tearing his Totsuka Blade through the landscape. Explosions and tremors ruptured the area as Itachi attempted to cut his way to Minato. Minato hesitated for a moment, but decided that he could not allow Itachi to destroy the village. He ran out in the open, chakra arms from his cloak shooting out and onto the ground, thrusting heavily so that he launched high into the air. He gripped his Hiraishin Kunai, tossing it towards the upper torso of the humanoid figure. Once he lost his balance in air and gravity began to pull him back down, he appeared beside his Hiraishin Kunai, running up the chest of the Susano’o like an ant climbing a tree. Itachi made efforts to smash Minato on his way up, but Minato managed to duck and dodge most of the attacks. Eventually Minato made it up to the face of the Susano’o, where the chakra arms from his cloak shot out and began pounding at the humanoid figure. Itachi tried to swat at Minato, but with both his hands occupying a weapon, he couldn’t hit accurately without damaging himself. Shockwaves and sonic booms rippled violently through the air as Minato’s chakra hands collided brutally with the Susano’o, but Itachi only laughed, as the Susano’o did not budge one bit. Finally, he managed to get a clean hit on Minato, sending the insect flying dozens of meters away. After colliding with the ground, Minato grunted and hyperventilated as he tried to get up.

“K-kurama, how are we doing?”

“You? You’re doing pretty badly. I myself am almost done, just procrastinate a little longer…” The voice in his head replied.

Minato managed a light chuckle, groaning as he finally rose to his feet. “I am trying, Kurama. This isn’t exactly easy, you know.”

“Well, you’re pretty fast. Hitting you should be like trying to cut a fly in half with a giant sword. Don’t stay in a single place, use your speed to confuse him.”

“Right” Minato replied.

After a few deep breaths, Minato was ready to go. He launched away from Itachi, causing the man to follow him.

“The least I can do is lead him away from the village, so he doesn’t cause anymore destruction.” Minato said under his breath.
“I’m tired of this cat and mouse game, Hokage.” Itachi barked, raising his blade and trailing it quickly towards Minato, who flashed away just before the area he was in was swept away and utterly destroyed. After a while, Minato slowed down.

“Itachi, it doesn’t have to be this way…Maybe we can negotiate…”

“You know that negotiation is impossible. Don’t try to talk your way out of this…”

Minato sighed, lowering his head. “Very well….”

“Minato---” Kurama spoke

“Then I will just have to…” Minato continued

“We’re ready…” Kurama announced.

“Destroy you…” Minato finished.

Itachi widened his eyes as even from his height he could sense a sudden burst of chakra erupting within Minato. The ground beneath Minato gave away, completely deteriorating under the massive amount of pressure that began to resonate from his form. A large head protruded from Minato, followed by paws and then eventually a full body. Minato stood at the head of the new form, a mound of chakra gathered together and replicating the nine tailed beast. It was half of the height of Itachi’s Susano’o, but when it brung itself up and stood on two legs it was near the same height as Itachi’s Susano’o. Itachi paused for a second before laughing.

“Do you think that you’re going to defeat me with this? What a joke…” Itachi exclaimed. "You only made yourself a bigger target for my Totsuka Blade. But if you’re so set on ‘destroying me’, then let’s see what you’ve got.”

Itachi raised his Totsuka Blade, ready to hammer it down on Minato. He swung towards the large chakra fox several times, but Minato quickly got back onto all four paws and raced around the Susano’o, evading each slash with his impressive speed. As he ran around Itachi, he released quick bursts of condensed chakra from the large fox's mouth. Itachi responded by holding up his shield, which reflected the attacks right back towards Minato. Minato managed to dodge the barrage of attacks, large explosions littering the land wherever the reflected attacks landed. Minato raced directly towards Itachi, forming a ball of chakra in his mouth as he jumped towards the Susano’o. He released the attack at the Susanoo’s face, but Itachi quickly lifted up his shield and reflected the attack into the air, swinging his sword up and catching the nine tails avatar right on the wrist of its left paw. Though it seemed like the Totsuka Blade would finally absorb Minato completely, the Totsuka Blade simply cut off connection between the paw and the rest of the avatar, absorbing the paw. Minato flickered away from sight before the Totsuka Blade could absorb the entire avatar next.

“I guess that I cannot absorb that entire entity of chakra in just one swing. The amount of chakra that that possesses must be overwhelming the Totsuka Blade!” Itachi spoke as he located Minato and went for another slash.

“We’re losing a considerable amount of chakra, Minato. It won’t be long before you lose this form.” Spoke a monotonous voice inside his head.

Minato grunted, watching as the paw slowly reformed. “Then we’ll have to finish this quickly.”

Itachi raised his Totsuka Blade for another slash, but Minato would not allow it. One of the avatar's nine tails wrapped around the wrist of the Susano’o, stopping the Susanoo's arm mid-swing. A large tug pulled the Susano’o forward.

“What!?!” Itachi yelled as he was suddenly dragged forward.

At that moment, Minato was quickly forming a ball of chakra at the fox avatar’s mouth. This ball was much more stronger, growing quickly in size as it took on a blackish purple color.

“Tailed Beast Bomb” Minato shouted, releasing the ball when Itachi’s Susano’o was in close enough range. Itachi panicked, making an attempt to raise his Yata Mirror and counter the attack. The Tailed Beast Bomb smashed mercilessly into the shield, pressing heavily against Yata Mirror.

Itachi grinned.

“Nothing can get through the Yata Mirror. It reflects all jutsu!” He shouted, and at that moment the Yata Mirror begin to crack ever so slightly, the persistent Tailed Beast Bomb too heavy and powerful to possibly be reflected. Hairline fractures spread slowly across the shield, signifying its weakening state, just before Itachi was finally able to push away the attack with a mighty jump forward. The Tailed Beast Bomb flew high into the air, where it disappeared from sight for a few seconds before the entire sky turned a wild nuclear red, clouds being pushed away like peasants fleeing from a god.

“H-he fractured Yata Mirror…” Itachi said under his breath, tiny pieces of his shield beginning to fall off and fade into the air as the two stood in silence.

“This battle was decided from the beginning. You have no chance of stopping me…” Minato announced, and Itachi almost believed him. He stood, baffled, speechless.

“I…” he muttered.

“Itachi…” Minato called out with concern.

“No!” Itachi shouted back. “I refuse to lose like this. I, no, we the Akatsuki will capture the remaining tailed beasts and create a weapon that will bring peace to the Shinobi world!”

Minato backed away, as Itachi suddenly had a spark in his chakra flow, his Susano’o growing quickly in size as his chakra became impossibly darker and more colder. His spiritual weapons were as big as his Susano’o and resonated absolute power. Both his eyes were a tidal wave of blood that flowed down his face as he transcended his Susano’o. It was massive. The nine tails avatar was only half the height of this newly transformed god. Minato was tempted to run.

“I’ll end this now. Stay still and accept death, Hokage.” Itachi muttered, his Totsuka Blade running across the land and cutting deep into earth. Minato just barely dodged the blade, but watched in horror as it extended far enough to cut a line straight through the leaf village, splitting it in half.

“Itachi, enough!” Minato warned him, but Itachi did not listen. He went for another swing, fortunately not in the direction of the leaf village. Minato managed to dodge it again, but the blade released a gigantic shock wave that blew him away.

“Minato, there is no time for mercy. We must end this!” Kurama shouted in his head, and Minato clenched his fists in anger.

“Very well, but this will consume too much of your chakra. Afterwards, we won’t be able to retain this form. This is our final shot.” Minato announced, extending both of his arms forward. A small ball of black chakra appeared at the mouth of the fox avatar, quickly growing in size. The ground beneath Minato was completely devastated under the presence of such heavy and intense chakra. The ball of chakra grew so big that it outgrew even Kurama and the previous size of Itachi’s perfect Susano’o. As Minato formed his last attack, Itachi only laughed and mocked him.

“Do you honestly think that you can stop me now. That attack isn’t getting past my enhanced defenses. Now, should I reflect your death back towards you, or seal it away with you?” Itachi wondered.

The ball of chakra became massive, reaching up to at least the size of Itachi’s newly formed perfect Susano’o. As the ball continued to grow, the tails on the fox avatar quickly receded and faded away, as Minato was consuming nearly all the chakra that Kurama had to offer.

“You were warned Itachi. This could have ended peacefully..”

“Nothing ends peacefully in this god forsaken world...Not even the Uchiha did.” Itachi replied

To that statement, Minato chuckled before his lips parted. “You’re right.”

And with those final words, the tailed beast bomb disappeared in under a second, nowhere to be found. Itachi wanted to laugh at Minato, he wanted to believe that he had failed. But such a large amount of chakra does not simply disappear like that. It couldn’t be possible. Unless…

“This can’t be….” Itachi whispered to himself, looking down as a peculiar symbol on his cloak had suddenly began to glow brightly. “When did...”

Itachi’s eyes widened as he remembered Minato’s words. “This battle was decided from the beginning”.

“The close quarter combat!” Itachi thought in a panick. “He must have marked me during the close quarter combat when the fight had first begun!”

Itachi tried to think of something to do quickly, but it was too late.

“Damn you, Hokage!” He shouted in a fit of anger “Damn you!”

“Goodbye, Itachi…” Minato said, turning and walking back towards the village. In the background, a massive explosion occurred within Itachi’s Susano’o, it’s explosive power contained by the Susanoo's immense durability. It wasn’t long before the Susano’o began to crack apart, releasing clouds of smoke and a large atmosphere of chakra. But Itachi was nowhere to be found. all that was left after the smoke cleared, was a massive crater that stretched for at least 5 acres of land.

Minato's nine tailed avatar quickly deformed, but he continued walking once his feet met the ground. With his Hokage jacket flickering in the wind, he finally decided. “I’ve won this fight.”
