KB confirmed you can break gen not be immune to it. If he gets caught there is small window of vulnerability before he breaks. Also tsukuyomi is unbreakable except by sharingan users with the same blood. (sasuke doesnt have tsukuyomi). Itachi wins this easily

Well let's not forget he still has a sage mode which means he has sensing abilities which means he's going to sense the chakra build up in Itachi's eyes.coupled with his quick speed and reaction time he may be able to avoid being caught in genjutsu. He is aware he's at least aware that he is fighting a genjutsu master and he's a bright and intelligent fighter like Itachi.

It's not going to be so simple for Itachi to simply put Minato in genjutsu and win. If he does. Manage to catch Minato in Tsukuyomi then the fight goes to Itachi. If not than Minato will wear him down then win

It probably would hinder Minato's fighting ability but his senses and reaction time which is pretty evident displayed against Obito would help if he were hindered like that.

Now who's providing excuses for Obito. Possibly even if Minato got caught in Itachi's genjutsu depending on the level and if it wasn't Tsukyomi then Minato would only need to bite his lips displayed by Kurenai during the time Itachi and Kisame went to the Leaf looking for Naruto when she bit her lip after having her genjutsu she tried on Itachi reversed on her.

It's because the pain she feels is what broke her out of it though that genjutsu she tried using on itachi that instead got reversed and used against her? she's a genjutsu specialist and it's obviously one of the ways she knows how to break out of genjutsu and the fact it worked means her knowledge of genjutsu paid off.

That genjutsu Itachi put Oro in lasted a few seconds it was a passing glance where Itachi showed Oro his power and there was no fight because then they'd only meet each other while being in Akatsuki which is where you got that from right? What Chiyo said shouldn't be taken as good advice because it's based on overwhelming the Uchiha by power of numbers and Ninja 101 says any ninja of worth could simply use shadow clones or normal clones and over power them that way.

Do you know what they told Ninja who saw the Yellow Flash during the 3rd war? they were given a flee on sight order.

Oh and Minato is different than Cee / Raikage / Ohnoki / Orochimaru Sai and Yagura. He's fastest out of all of them and even if he's caught like you say all he would need to do is stop the flow of chakra in his body to break genjutsu which from what Jiraiya taught Naruto and would of taught Minato as well.

Well if we go by Minato's words to Naruto during Pain invasion where he said he witnessed everything Naruto did as a child then we can safely assume that he witnessed all his fights especially those against Itachi so I guess I don't have to try now since by that reason alone Minato knows exactly how to fight Itachi.

It's safe to say Itachi knows exactly what Minato can do as 4th hokage but ITachis feats are over Minatos in this battle. Due to Minato not having any known genjutsu breaking methods, not being a perfect jin, his speed doesn't totally outclassed Itachis, they have even intelligence and Itachi isn't going near his ftg kunai.
