Relationships... i guess a few of you have them... and a few of you are about to get one?
some of you don't want it and some of you feel that you can't have it.
but don't give up on that, ever.

i just wanted to tell you guys a few thoughts... for your own good?
when you're starting to talk to a girl/boy that you like...
please be yourself... just act 100% natural...
you don't have to brag, you don't have to act "cool"...
just do whatever you'd normally do? or else it'll backfire...

if your crush says she hates coffee... don't tell her you hate it too if you don't...
if your crush doesn't like playing video games... but you do? then tell her you like it...
if your crush ask you questions like; do you play a lot of video games? do you watch anime? porn?
don't tell her what you think she wants to hear... just tell her straight from your heart Yes or No.
NEVER HIDE ANYTHING. or it'll backfire, just like i said earlier.

i've noticed from my past relationships that all my boyfriends have told me they don't play games, they go to the gym all the time, they like to watch romantic movies, they love my kind of food...

but after a year i'm starting to noticing when they're slowly pulled back to who they were before they met me?
they start playing games, don't have time for me, they never actually went to the gym, they hate all the movies that i'd like to watch and they're never up for eating what i want to eat...

and at that moment... i get trust issues... what else they been lying about? is anything true at all?
or they just lied all the time so that i'd like them more? that's just awful.

anyway, i can't keep this much lengthier than it is... i just wanted to give you a hint...
always be yourself... or it'll backfire... and 99% chance you'd end up breaking up or being unhappy.

if someone doesn't like you for who you are, then it's their loss...
and you're not a great match, easy as that...
i'm warning you...

always try to find someone who likes you for who you are, promise yourself that.

edit: most of all people don't suddenly "change" they revert to who they were... :3
and that makes people break up or stop loving each other...

But if you don't ...well...twist the truth won't most girls give you the cold shoulder once you don't have the same or close to the same interests they have?
And then again, i might not know what I'm saying.
Nice thread btw.

Yes, if you aren't an authentic person then you won't find someone you are compatible with. There is no point in putting up a false persona to attract others if you are looking for a companion.

I was never fully comfortable on previous dates and it affected my behaviour negatively resulting in fails.

I am not THAT sexually attracted to my current gf albeit she has a beautiful smile but she's the first person I feel 100% comfortable with and actually makes me feel stronger as a person. We elevate each other's lives for the time being and that's more important to me than sexual attraction at the moment. But that lack of physical chemistry on my side will surely put an end to our relationship sooner or later.

@bold is key - it depends on what a person is looking for in a relationship

But in general, listen to Everztar :)

Yes, I was just summarizing what Everztar said. But again, that is if you are looking for a companion. Some people are just looking for "fun," and in that case you peacock, and put up a persona of what you think the person wants to hear and not who you really are.
