Deadpool’s mental instability also seems to manifest in various voices that may act as different personalities at times. He’s able to go from a persona capable of killing without remorse to one that exercises a certain level of morality. It may be limited, but it prevents him from going too far in his work and even allows him to second guess others he suspects may be using him or seeking to cause mass destruction. It creates a very fragile balance of sorts within an unbalanced mind so it’s difficult to surmise whether Deadpool is good or evil to an extreme. More often than not, his morality fluctuated in between the two.
This ability to have some sense of honor also shows in the twisted perceptions he often exhibits. Most of the time, his mental instability manifests in jokes or deranged musings. But at times, his perceptions are a bit more elaborate. At times he seems to genuinely believe he’s a comic book character or a character in a fanfiction series. The two’s crazies and troubling childhoods complimenting each other, they even became engaged, something neither expected to happen. Even going so far as the consider retiring from being a mercenary to embrace his new life with Vanessa, Wade found that he had a terminal illness that couldn’t be cured with even medical ninjutsu, and didn’t have long to live. Not wanting to subject his fiance to feeling the pain of being married to a dying man, Wade considered leaving her before being approached by a strange man. He revealed that he was from an organization called Weapon X that were looking for strong men to turn into heroes, and that they could heal Wade’s illness and increase his abilities. Initially refusing, one last night with Vanessa inspired Wade to accept the offer.
To his dismay however, Wade discovered that the organization weren’t making heroes, but were trying to engineer immortal soldiers to start new wars with. They had selected Wade due to his Uzumaki heritage, concluding that his powerful life force would make him ideal for the torturous procedures. Over the course of months, Wade was subjected by a man named Ajax, actually Francis, to endless torture and experiments that ravaged his body. The intense ordeals caused his skin to become heavily scarred and damaged, permanently disfiguring him. His mind also received a major blow, the experience shattering his psyche and rendering him utterly insane. The trauma brought Wade to the brink of death, triggering the activation of the Chakra Chains technique that lay dormant in his Uzumaki blood. Using the technique, Wade lashed out and fought back against those conducting the experiments, staging a breakout. The riot caused the facility to be destroyed and resulting in many of the captured being set free, but also in many dying, including a friend Wade had managed to make during the process.
Surviving against all odds and learning that Francis had escaped, Wade decided to use his skills, both old and new, to get revenge. He adopted the alias Deadpool, named after the Dead Pool the test subjects had( a betting pool on who would die next) and returning to his life as a mercenary, with the main goal of hunting down and brutally murdering Ajax for ruining his life and to get a cure for his testicle skin.

It shows in the way he makes jokes and wise-cracks in every situation, even in the heat of battle. This indicates a certain level of sanity that allows him to sufficiently process the world around him. Known by some members of the Uzumaki clan, this technique is the manifestation of the strongest of chakras within the clan and not a simple Ninjutsu technique. The user is able to focus and materialize chains from their body that can be used for various purposes. However, what makes it a technique that goes beyond the normal Ninjutsu category is that the user can manifest these chains in reality, using them to attack, defend or restrict a given target but can also manifest these chains in his mind, in a purely spiritual field. This enables the technique to act as defense against mental attacks (Genjutsu, Yamanaka Clan techniques, etc) by using the spiritual manifestation of the chains to "attack" the mental intrusion and dispel it. It was this ability that allowed Uzumaki Kushina and Uzumaki Mito to serve as perfect vessels for the Bijuu Kurama, as they could use it to restrict the 9 Tails Demon Fox inside their bodies. When manifested as a Ninjutsu attack, it has both great range and strength. The chains can be used to attack (each chain ends in a kunai-like spear which can be used to pierce a target as a spear or the chains can be used to slam into the target or surround it and "crush" it) or defend (using the same methods) against enemies and techniques but its main purpose is to restrict and contain targets. The restriction effect is achieved partially due to two aspects: their physical strength (which restricts the target physically, preventing it from moving) and their inherent "sealing property". History:
Due to Wade’s insanity, his memories and recountings of his past are incredibly inconsistent, making him an unreliable narrator of his own life. The only thing that is known for sure is that Wade was born in the Land of Whirlpools before it was destroyed, his life span being attributed to his lineage as an Uzumaki member. Some point before the country was destroyed, Wade was a very talented and strong shinobi, mastering many fields at a rapid pace and rising to be among the top of the Uzumaki clan. He fought in two of the Shinobi World Wars, an extremely skilled soldier. Once the wars ended, Wade became bored and unsatisfied with the normal life of a shinobi.
