Came back from the theater a few hours ago, I give it a 5-6/10.

Definitely a lot better than what the teasers have shown but it did not exceed my expectations, it felt rushed and the cgi wasn't as good as I presumed it'd be. The characters were cool but the jokes were generic and plain and a bit too forced. The fighting scenes were pretty cool though.

If the film was "a lot better than the trailer" but still "did not exceed my expectations" chances are you went into the movie with too high of expectations, but what do I know I'm clearly not impartial. For those who always say they dislike the character I have to ask, do you like Sterling Archer?

Also I've noticed most of the negative reviews simply are them saying they disliked the character's personality or the film didn't meet expectations. To those people I say you're missing the point and don't fully grasp how reviews should go. You review a film on what it does, and whether you love or hate Deadpool as a character, the film does a perfect job of taking the feel of the comics to the screen. If the movie wasn't as good as you thought it would or you don't like the style of it all that's fine, but to say the movie was bad is a gross misuse of the word.

Your letting your bias cloud your judgment(for that last sentence), I didn't say Deadpool was a bad character or that the movie was bad, I actually said it was ok and gave it an average rating and stated the characters were cool as well. It simply didn't meet my expectations, and yeah I had the bar set pretty high for this movie I mean it's freaking Deadpool lol. To be blunt I just didn't feel this movie, it kept me entertained but not to where I was like " more, more" it was something more like "hmm that was ok :/ ". And it's fine for anyone to call a movie such as this one in particular, Bad or Good, it's their own experience they get from watching film whether we are fans, newcomers, or just bored looking for something to watch.

To be fair I did give warning I may be impartial. Maybe I should have been more clear, you can say it was good or bad when referring to taste but not in reference to what a film does, I'm not a fan of The Butler but it was still a good movie technically speaking, it achieved what it set out to do and did it well, as did Deadpool, it set out to be a fun light mocking movie that embraces it's comic origin and it achieved that. That's all I meant, you can like or dislike a movie but if a movie achieves it's goals even if you disliked it shouldn't be canned as a "bad" movie. When people judge movies good or bad it should usually be based on acting abilities/visuals/music scores etc. not whether or not they related to the material, and too often I see negative reviews filled with personal feelings over technicalities. Look at The Toxic Avenger, it's by all accounts a bad movie, bad acting, bad quality, bad scoring BUT that's what it set out to be so in fact they pulled off a bad movie well.
