Dead Demon Consuming Seal question.

Okay, so we all know that Minato developed this jutsu (or could at least use it), and Hiruzen learned this jutsu. We also know that using this jutsu kills the user. So, my question is, how did they develope (if he did develope it)/learn this jutsu if it kills you? You can't practice it, and so this question has had me wondering for a while. How can you use a jutsu that you can only use once (as it kills you), as you have to use the jutsu to practice it so you know that it's going to work when you try to use it for real. How did Hiruzen know that the seal would work on Orochimaru if he couldn't use the jutsu before in his life (as seen with him and his shadow clones, even with them, he had to give up his soul). This has been driving me insane, so if anyone has information for me, or even idea's, I'd be happy to talk about this with you.

Maybe he doesn't have to give up his soul for the shadow clones. Because If I remeber right, He sealed the 1st and 2nd with his clones, and was still alive, in order to seal Oro's arms.

but when he used it with the shadowclones, he still gave up his soul. if he didn't have to, why didn't he just make 3 clones?

Maybe in order for it to be complete, it has to have an "Actual" soul.

I dont think u seal away your soul the moment u activate that jutsu.........
i think its only when u seal sumthng away that your soul is also taken.........
so unless u dont seal any1 else u can practise untill the moment where u see the Reaper arrive.......

Its a forbinned tech, so its in a scroll.
Obvioslly if you are Hokage, you would know it :|

but can you actually learn a jutsu just by reading it? I think you have to practice it to learn it, but it seals your soul away to use it, so you can't practice, so you can't learn it. WHICH IS WHY IT CONFUSES ME!!!

I'd imagine you are correct you would perform the jutsu but not finish it or release it before the souls get attached

Intresting thing about this is how the hell did the 3rd know the 4th used the seal when the only people who can see she Shikigami are the ones who have used the juitsu?

How do you develop a forbiden juitsu, I'd say the same way Chiobasama developed her resurection/reanimation juitsu. See the effects of other people useing it during research. They stoped her juitsu from being fully developed because of the cost, to use the juitsu. I dont see why it would be much diffrent than any other forbiden type tech.
