Fox sits down on the ground

Fox: Well after I fought Xero, snake told me I needed to die because his organization took a hit out on me. We fought and ultimately he won...but he spared my life.

Kallen sits on the ground. "Why'd he spare you?"

 

[Uchiha Kooji]

Fox: Well when I woke up he said that I was still young and had my whole life to live. I would become powerful and surpass him. He offered to train me and I accepted. We trained very hard and I have the scars to prove it *he lifts his shirt to reveal many scars on his chest* This morning I woke up to rain and found that he was gone so I sought shelter under a bridge where he was waiting for me with his old commando unit. Well...the rest of the story I'm sure you saw. I fought his old unit and slayed them all. Me and snake then fought...he was right to name me fox...when I am cornered like an animal my power increases. I spared his life like he once spared mine.

"So this was a huge training session?"

Fox: No...he told me that training me was a mistake and he needed to kill me.

He puts his head in his hands

In an instant fox is back in front of snake. He sweeps his legs out from under him, sending him forward then grabs him by his neck and slams him down to the ground backwards. When snake hits the ground a shockwave goes out and there is a small crater. Fox gets down low into snakes face

Fox: ...this has nothing to do with emotion. This is about honor *Fox unsheathes his sword and brings it down on snakes left arm, severing it from his body at the shoulder* If you survive without bleeding out then you are worthy to live *fox gets up and walks away*

snake:*coughing blood* still can't let go of an old master, it seems that my training did fail

Fox looks over at his old master laying there bleeding

Fox: No...youre wrong snake. If I kill you that makes me no better than you. When I leave it up to chance then that means I have become everything I can be and more

snake: take this final lesson from me *coughs* there is no good or evil in the battlefield, only.... death
*grabls fox's sword by the blade making his and bleed and stabs himself in the throat, then he smiles

Fox walks over to snakes body and pulls his sword from his throat

Fox: You taught me so much...but there will always be more to learn

Fox kneels at his dead master to give respect

*in the survival lies a tape recorder

Fox stands up and sees a machine laying on the ground. He picks it up and hits a button

snake:*recorer* hello there fox, if youu are listening to this, it means that i was able to fulfill my purpose and die for what i am loyal to, i must have told you how training you was a mistake... but i only did that to angrer you, although i betrayed what i belived in for letting you live...i knew that someday like my master... i could also turn someone into a soldier... someone that would fight untill the end, as you might have guesses yesterday's allies might be tommorow's enemys, there is no such thing as an enemy in absolute terms, they change through the times, the times dictate our missions....

... the truth is that i don't know how but my employers found out that i didn't kill you, to prove my loyalty and to protect you... i had to fight you, knowing i would die...and dying by the hands of my student would be the greatest way to die... when soldiers fight there are no emotions, and in this case the only emotion in my heart for the coming battle is joy, although we have yet to fight i know that you will send the cobras and me to the depths of hell itself... bye fox, now let us meet in battle

as fox listens to the tape tears run down his face. when the tapes finish he looks up and stop crying.
