also the power level means a lot but vegeta said they dont mean much because most of the z fighters can hide there power levels .... however most villains being so proud of there power like to show it off....

also as for the transformations... all they do is increase ur base power by a certain amount... one doesnt just increase speed.... it increases all ur abilities over all :|

i will admit that they arnt that important but half the time they were used to compare them to another character in ability... also it was to show there massive increases in strength through training.. it was not just useless numbers.. they actually had some sort of a purpose even if it was miniscule

they are the same thing with different names.... but not everything that would work in one world would work in another..
