I was actually assuming two categories adult and child. As in, both are shounen. @bold: "Today's standard". Not really. Personal opinion. You seem to care only about appearance and not focus on the story at all so can't have a rational argument with you there.
Also believe me when I tell you no one is impressed by what Golden frieza looks like. Poor content and no originality?Honest question: Did you even watch the new one? Or did you believe it was bad without even looking? The story has moved forward only to leave you behind on what it looks like and the belief the series is only good because of nostalgia. Normally I would suggest you to try it and give your thoughts(complain), but you're prejudiced and won't enjoy it as you will see only what you dislike about the series and not what's good. You are wrong about the rinse and repeat. Sadly I see no solution to this so I suggest you to just avoid it altogether.

I was talking about the new DBS series/movies as a whole . I give Revival of F 6.5/10. I didn't say how good it was compared to other series and my ranking of it. Their appearances are ridiculous but the story is fun. From the movie we learnt more about god form, Goku and Vegeta training and their short comings, Whis's power, what became of Frieza's empire(some little shit took over) and non-saiyan characters only being able to witness as the two keep growing up to the power of gods. Though they still cannot survive in space. For people wishing to see them become stronger leaving everyone behind its quite fun. The point I was trying to make as opposed to Shaz's opinion is DBS is still enjoyable and most people who liked DBZ should give it a shot.

Following my other comment, a good plothole is why Goten and Trunks still appear to be kids. Pan is born therefore the Revival of F was the year before Future Gohan died, meaning Trunks should be at that height or near it. O -o Either that or they have the Saiyan Puberty unlike Gohan.

Another thing, this is not about my opinion but other members opinions. They said DB is not the best in term of story telling compared to not just Naruto, but OP, HxH, FMA, Yu Yu Hakusho some of it.

I never claimed it was mature. I said it was for teens meaning its right in the middle. Normally kids wouldn't be allowed to watch a show, showing so much clevage as Fairy Tail.

Its a kids show because a child would definitely enjoy watching good guys beat up the bad guys. And reading deeper into the plot can be done for any series if you are gonna say fairy tail has that.

So adults would not like seeing a good guy beat the bad? That concept is followed by any form of media. It makes no difference if you are adult or a child you would enjoy seeing a happy ending.

It is only your assumption that you think I don't care for the story that I only care for the appearance. If that was the case I would be wanking the hell out of big body builders with spikey hair.

You fail to see what I ment by todays standards. I have already clearified that in my previous posts. Todays standards have gone up because mangako's are required to work on character development, story, unique fighting styles, and a certain theme. DBZ does not fit in that mold because in order to make it fit in you would need to change many things of it very quickly. Which will ruin the show for what it stood for. Therefore it should not return to save face.

I watched the two new DBZ movies. I never bothered with Super because it did not even interest me.

The story has moved forward only to leave you behind on what it looks like and the belief the series is only good because of nostalgia.

You would be lying to yourself if you actually believed nostalgia was not a factor of people rewatching DBZ.

Yeah my bad. You talked about the appearance of SSG, SSGSS and Golden Frieza so I thought Lazy character design is what annoys you the most.

I see but I have to disagree with you again since the only thing a good story needs is a good story. The things like character development, theme etc are all part of a good story and where one of these thing lacks another compensates it. Too lazy to explain what DBS(its just started so can't say much) has and lacks so lets just say nostalgia is there to make the story a decent one. Though many may not like it, its worth a try if you have watched DBZ. All of what you call today's standard have different things as people seem to enjoy a variety of shows covering lots of genre. Not every one watches every show that reaches the requirement of today's standard. So I just say if you had watched DBZ watch DBS. It doesn't have to fit in the mold. Most of who try it will be there for the sake of the story.

I meant I can't convince you otherwise so just don't try the DBS series at all. Currently its just revising and showing the movie but after Freiza's return it will move to a new story involving other Gods of destruction.

This is my first internet argument if this counts as one and I realise how futile and pointless this argument is. I will finish what I started but I see that what I say won't change what you believe of the series nor what you say will change the state of the show. I am lazy and don't think I want to put this much effort on such a pointless thing. If it makes you feel better conversing with you has convinced me I won't get into another argument. I give up on it just after I started. The only thing I can say now is I like fairy tail too. If you believe we must continue this you where to find me. (Always dreamed to end a conversation with that. My dreams are petty.)

Late reply but don't forget Gohan was originally older plus spent almost a year in the time chamber.
