I'm re watching DBZ, and now I'm wondering "How did Gotenks Fusion last so long against Buu?" They were fighting Buu as Gohan was getting his Mystic Powers which took hours, yet fusion only last 30 minutes. Plus Gohan was there for an additional 10 minutes since Elder Kai didn't tell Gohan he finished. Gohan came in and saved them for a fusion that should have long been over.

In series time is not the same as out of series time. Pretty sure OP was referring to the fact that unlocking Gohan's potential started as Gotenks was fighting Super Buu, and took place for hours in-universe, but Gotenks was still there near the end of it despite Fusion only lasting 30 minutes in-universe time.

The only explanation I have is that the process was actually a lot slower than a few hours and OP only thinks it was because of real-life passage in time.

Well he has a point with the time we know it took for gohan to turn mystic. This is true. However there's a lot of gaps where there is no set time in between to exploit here. For instance, we know that gohan started his mystic power up very shortly after goku went back to the afterlife (as he immediately tracks down gohan and breaks the z sword). Between goku leaving, we have goten and trunks training for a while before super buu arrives. We also have the time he was at the lookout, we have the time that they were in the time chamber, we have their fight INSIDE of the time chamber, they're stuck there for at least THREE full fusion cycles (3 hours at least), we have the rest of that fusion cycle, and then i'm pretty sure they ditch majin buu for some undisclosed time i think.

time can be a confusing thing, especially in DBZ. But the thing is, its THE dbz reality/seventh universe we are talking about.

and you missed out a important detail, the holy planet of the kaioshins are almost "outside" the universe.

lol your right! but as dbz fans we know that dbz was notorious for making 30secs a full 30minute show, because god for bid they didn't show ever characters facial expression after ever word during fights

lol gokus spirit bomb is supposed to take a lot of time but he musta rushed it because in dbz time it only took like 30 seconds. alotta fighting went on before he even started it and this was all after frieza declared a five minute countdown

Time isn't the same on all planets. 30 mins on Earth could be 2 hours on the Kai's planets. But if we're assuming every place has the same time (which is unrealistic, but it is a manga) then yeah it's a plothole.

The time can look inconsistent but remember that Planet Namek has 3 suns probably they have 72 hours a day (assuming).

It is stupid. Why be scared of beerus if u can reach him with 2-3 years of training

DBZ is nothing more than milking at this point. Plenty of manga have surpassed it now. Including the one in my avatar and sign. Instead of ruining its legacy it should save face and quit now. Other than time disparity between the rosat and real world
Roshi and Krillin had a .2 second clash with multiple moves and could dodge bullets but only run at 40mph
Raditz dodged sbc
Goku and friezas final clash was less than fivr minutes and gave goku enough time to find a friezas ship and then a ginyu force pod
Now Gotenks who's shown light speed travel pre rosat, you really think he doesnt have the combat speed to fit a fight like that in less than 30 minutes?
