The anime was good, I've seen better but that doesn't take away from it. The manga of DBZ was boring, the fights aren't as good as the anime and the story is boring. The only reason I could see someone reading that is for debates perhaps.

I think there are better series out there but DBZ's fighting style is really entertaining and it has inspired many mangakas. However, I disagree that it has a better story-line, OP's story is better and it's only reached the half-way point like 3 yrs ago. Also, you shouldn't let your nostalgia get in the way of your judgement of a series or anything in general.

actually one piece storyline or any other storylines like attack on titan are all ripoff of dbz or just a harsh way word for inspired. many main characters tend to have many similar personalities, from goku like being cheerful, determined, and always having a big stomach to eat something, thats why one piece simply cant beat dbz because the mangaka was inspired from dbz,

naruto fights and psyren fights both dont even hold a candle to dbz, and never will, hell vegeta final flash> entire naruto verse and phyren verse in terms fights.
OP wouldnt even exist without DBZ and Hunter x hunter storyline doesnt really push it above dbz limits where you have story taking place in cosmic universe and beyond.

Your getting what he said confused. The storylines of One Piece and Attack on Titan shit on DBZ which he's right, while DBZ characters have influenced characters of other series after it. See character and story are the keywords.

The storyline was not the best, that's a fact.

Storyline was just: Villains show up and try to destroy and the world and become the most powerful for no absolute reason.

Characters were great, and their development were also good.

That doesn't apply to a single villain smh

It was for sure and the anime was too, but i have to disagree on the character part as the ideas were very limited and almost every character was identical/similar to other for eg
Goku,Goten,Bardock,Turles (sorry if i Messed spellings) , Vegeta and King Vegeta , Namekians in a nutshell , Future Gohan and Vegeta's brother all shared each other's faces. There must be more that I may be forgetting

dbz was my fav as a kid , then i grew up, other than some key episodes i wouldnt watch it. "you can tune a piano but you cant tune a fish"

Fights were awful and seemed drawn out.

Storyline/plot was utter crap.

Character development was awful.

Characters looked crappy with barely any unique design to them.

Everything after Dragon Ball was crap to me. Kid Goku's story was good. After that it went to shit.

Dragon Ball Gods please rid this man of his stupidity.
