Honestly, without ever watching DBZ I would have never gotten into other animes. It is my my favorite anime not because it is better than ALL the others, but because i grew up with it (similar to how I grew up with pokemon). Thats just something you cnt take away.

I think many other members probably feel the same way, and it sucks that there fans out there who give DBZ fans a bad name. I love the show. I always say when someone gets mad or goes beast mode "He just went super saiyan".

It is a precursor to many of the new shows, even the writers of said shows say they respect DBZ and honor some of their ideas in their work ie aura, anger increasing power, hair standing up, little things like that. Theres nothing wrong with it.

I love DBZ, my opinions may be bias but I agree with you, that there is no way Goku could beat some universe bending god lol. DBZ is still awesome. They hold the title for longest anime fight ever! Frieza vs Goku lasted like a year haha
