Are you saying that the battle between Goku and Jiren, is inspired by or comparable to Superman vs Doomsday?

I don't quite think so. I think it's either a coincidence...or a subconscious effort.

No not at all, Doomsday well at least H/P doomsday isn't some one that's suppose to be surpassed if he was able to resist the power of the end of times. You survive doomsday not beat it, Supes got one legit victory off that version of Doomsday all others were reboots and alternative versions.

However I'm talking about just common strong enemies or feuds Superman faces and he ends up losing due to plot reasons. Goku is going through the same thing against the likes of Hit, Zamasu,Toppo, and Jiren.
