I am starting to like db super more and more.

Especially because fights are becoming more strategic and about how to counter abilities,
rather than just who has the highest power lvl attack.

This Hit guy has a cool ability with his 0.1 sec time leap.
Although manipulating time is apparently an offense in the Galaxy, yet it actually allowed in the tournament?

We could expect Vegeta to lose, as he wouldnt take out 4 fighters,
but I had hoped he would have put up a bit more of a fight vs Hit.
Vegeta underestimated Hit by thinking that Hit only had light attacks.
So Vegeta exposed himself with his head on attack and took a heavy attack from Hit.

Although Goku entered the battle with the time-leap info advantage, Vegeta might have been able to figure out that Hit was manipulating time, as Vegeta has fought Guldo from the Ginyu force, who could manipulate time in an specific area if I am correct, by holding his breath.

Do you think Vegeta should have figured out or been told about the time leap? Therefore putting up a better fight but still lose and than Goku would enter?
Or was it better this way?

Lol about Monaka btw.
He is an amateur and not strong at all.
Lets hope Goku doesnt forfeit somewhere in the match so that he can see Monaka fight vs Hit xD.

I think different. I had hoped DB super would allow other characters a turn to shine but it followed the same formula as DBZ, piccolo's match against frost for example was abysmal. The non saiyan fighters still being weak, ugh.

Goku strategizing was cool but still.....

My problem with this new db series in mainly the fact that there is no threat whatsoever.... the feeling of despair and fighting against all odds is non existant..... like frieza was no threat at all... bills wasnt either... etc...

DB Super still can't impress me and will always be below DBGT imo. It's just meh.
Besides the still ugly artwork and low animation quality.. the plot itself isn't interesting either. First we had the horrible recaps/retcons of the two canon-movies, now we have this boring tournament with lots of silly characters.

I'll admit that Hit is interesting. But that is the only thing out of all that DB Super offered by now, imo. The series doesn't take itself very serious, which bothers me. Can't help it.

Yeah, just another wasted opportunity.
I mean, it's great that Vegeta got so much spotlight in the tournament, but out of all characters he faced, Hit would've been the most important one because of what you mentioned in the quote. The problem isn't that Vegeta lost, but the way how he did. He looked completely dumb, like it was the first fight ever that Vegeta fought.

"Who needs character development and consistence, when we can be cheap and just don't care about the story at all." <- Studio Toei

Also Piccolo's treatment was pathetic as well. He could've at least taken out that boring robot thing, but nooo, he also has to be defeated with ease.

DB Super seems to have the same motto like the game DB Xenoverse. "If you are not a saiyan or at least frieza-race, you are weak and irrelevant".

What do you expect the Galactic Patrol to do? If they tried to arrest Hit, they would get negged in -10 seconds.

I dont expect the Galactic patrol to do anything if they have nobody strong enough to take him in.
I didnt say that the Galactic patrol should do anything.
I just wondered if time manipulation is not allowed in the tournament, but tolerated or allowed.

Piccolo's match against Frost was kinda cool imo.
He would have won normally probably if Frost didnt cheat.

Maybe would have been cool if he defeated a fighter from universe 6 without that fighter being disqualified.
Like Botamo for example or a different version of Botamo.

Hit getting his hands on that cube would be kinda dangerous and Earth7 being switched to Universe 6 is something they want to prevent too.

Maybe some more threat has yet to come.

I agree in that I dislike as well how Vegeta lost vs Hit.
I dont mind that he lost.

I do think that the other universe 6 fighters were interesting too though.
But, Hit the most.
Also generally the fights required strategic elements,
rather than just winning because your power lvl is higher + stronger raw attack.

I don't like how everyone besides Hit on team U6 were fodders compared to Goku and Vegeta. Imo the power levels for U6 should have been:

Botamo: SSJ level
Frost: SSJ2 level (how is he much weaker than SSJ Goku when his 3rd form was stronger than base Goku?)
Magetta: SSJ3 level
Cabba: SSG/SSGSS level
Hit: beyond SSGSS level

And Monaka wouldn't be a fodder.

The fight was poor, the anime had piccolo charging special beam canon the whole time and the manga had him weaker than frost. That's BS considering how weak frost is compared to Goku and vegeta. Piccolo should have been allowed to soundly beat frost and the robot at least.

Tien should have been in the tournament too, the all saiyan thing is annoying
