Day That Shattered America

This one is inspired by those who survived and lost their lives on the 9/11 attack. They were heroes protecting my country (America) and I'm proud to say that I'm there.

While the buildings fell
The smoke and fire building up with the fears
The horror of being that close to death shuddered them to the bone

Children scared and crying
Older adults trying to save their family
Seniors giving up all hope

The dust rattles the lungs
The damage done shocks the survivors
Finding the silver lining in the terror

America shattered with the loss
The fear that they might come again
The shocking bravery of them

Everyone did their best
The piliots and the workers
Firefighters and police

"I want to let you know that they hear you
America hears you and soon everyone will hear your voices!"
His voice being their silver lining to light the way

I hope you will pray
For those who losed their loved ones and themselves
In the Day That Shattered America

Its wrong either way and I respect the people who lost their lives but the people who whine about it and bring it up to defend America and why they did what they did in Iraq don't really care and they just say it to fit in the crowd.

I'm extremely tempted to post a funny 9/11 meme involving Star Fox doing a barrel roll... But I won't. That was a great poem and I respect those who lost their lives and their families. 'Tis a sad day today for America.
