Sure. Databooks are wirtten by Kishimoto. However, thing is, they are true until proven false, by the manga's upcoming events, or another databook.
Like in summaries of the story's events, it will tell us what is what based on the manga. Like when it was stated there that Itachi was a heartless murderer. That was true, and what Kishi wanted us to think at the time, and it was as far as the story went. But surely he wouldn't put spoilers in the db. So, he's going back over what we knew, or thought to be true, then. As the manga story unfolds, we get the truth on Itachi. And the next databook will include that info now that it's come out.

The databook is pure facts written by kishi himself, however don't confuse the hyperboles for facts. Kishi likes to add flare to his mangafacts, it's cool. :bdpf:
