Just because they were never shown using those nature elements, doesn't really mean that they don't have any nature affinity. Their nature release jutsus may be very weak and useless in actual battles, because of which they might have never used them. U_U

Gai I can understand, he can use Justus but decided to stick to taijustu alone.

Remember that he did use a summoning Justu a while back too.


Neji has to have a nature to graduate to jounin and etc, but I didn't know he had three types.

Well, I think it makes sense. Neji is a genius so it is not unusual he has more elements than Guy, who was not a genius. You could say that Guy is more experienced but that experience was most likely based on Taijutsu and 8 gates.
