Darui, overrated?

I haven't really seen him spoken that highly of but then again I don't check threads very often lol, he's definitely not top 10 or 20, more so top 30 at the very least.

But yeah his Storm Release is powerful but you've only seen it go up against Edo's (Which can't die) and Susano'o (Which is considered the ultimate defense) unless you count when he took out tons of zetsu with just one lightning attack but Zetsu are quite weak so it's hard to determine just how strong Storm Release is but it's a rare KG for a reason, of course it's going to be strong.

Anywho, ignore my avatar & signature lol I'm by no means bias when it comes to talking about Darui as you can tell from above. Personally he's one of my favorite characters due to his character development, I enjoy his personality that Kishi gives him, and his KG + Sword is quite cool too, as I assume they'll come to use combined later (Much like Sasuke and his sword)

Edit- His rank is Jonin, but it doesn't mean he's not stronger than other Jonin's (Also doesn't mean he's not weaker than Kage's, because yes he is), much like Kakashi, Yamato, or even Naruto being a Genin, I don't think Kishi really pays attention to ranks anymore lol.

Yeah i guess you have a point , its the enemy's mistakes that make the good guys look better , if you haven't noticed the villains all have a trend of under estimating their opponents which usually leads to them nearly or dying -
For example Tobi underestimated konan and lost an arm and an eye because of this
The Gold and Silver Brothers underestimated Darui and ended up being sealed,
So I suppose if Darui fought an opponent like Kakashi who wouldn't underestimate him you could say the fight could go either way but I guess if anyone based the fact that Darui beat x ninja so therefore will beat kakashi then thats not valid because indeed it wasn't exactly a fair fight as the brothers didn't show their full strength but also it was because it is their weakness to underestimate opponents
But in the end no I don't think hes over rated as he still managed to use the amber pot which absorbed a lot of his already diminished chakra and continued fighting afterwards , also he must be A's right hand man for a reason we have yet to see more of his abilities

Regardless, I made this thread because after 3 months of being here everytime I see Darui in a vs Thread it's always vs someone out of his league.

Ironically nobody has said that he is more then a Jonin.

Out of my maybe 4-5 months being here I have never seen a Darui Vs thread :O haha and look I found a Darui fan for you ^.^- below

Right I think he is very overated, like, his black lightening seems like its just a little stronger than regular lightening. For example, lightening blade is a little stronger than chidori but its not extremely powerful. His Gale Style is strong but i dont think its deadly because when it hit Kinkaku he didnt have to regenerate, i think it just packs a hard punch.

Like i remember this thread I read about Darui beating Zabuza and i was like wtf, how could Darui beat Zabuza? He isnt a sensor how will he counter the mist? people just said "he has black lightening" i could easily say "Zabuza has silent killing" its so annoying

Anyways @DaruiFan, I agree with you. Plus I know its hard to argue for a char when it's on avi and sig, people just jump to conclusions like that :|

I don't think he is overrated, I think the general consensus is that he is about top 30, I think he is just a likeable character more than anything. He is still powerful, and is definitely one of the more powerful ninjas in the Narutoverse. Think about it, not everyone has a insane kekkai genkai or an OP signature justu so he is probably around 25-30 in the characters we have seen.
