✪ Spider Contract: RP Segment ✪ "This way!" a voice roared through the forest, startling nearby birds perched on a branch. He motions the others to follow and a single file, they leap from tree branch to tree branch determined to find their lawbreaker. Just 30 meters away, Hideo conceals himself behind a tall tree. He stops to catch his breath, realizing he is ahead. Why me? He thought tiredly, placing his hand on his chest and resting his head against the tree while looking towards the clear, cyan sky. He has been running from Konoha ninja who uncovered he was looting from their food storage facilities. He had no money, so that was the only way to acquire food. He turns his head forward and stares at the sea of trees standing side by side, letting out a huge sigh. The dazzling sun was radiant as it hung in solidarity in the air. Its rays peered through the openings of the trees, meeting Hideo's neck, heating his body, causing him to sweat. The droplets of water sparkle on his forehead, trickle down his young, pale face and sprinkle in his eye. He would rub them every second as he hurries to find the forest end. However, there was no sign of it, which made him rage like the sun out now. "There he is" a lean Konoha jounin ninja, leading the team of chuunin pointed. A worried look appears across Hideo's face as the Konoha group closed in. He wanted to avoid a confrontation at all cost, but that was unlikely. As he bound from tree branch to the next, he would glance back and see the Konoha ninja speeding up. Or was he slowing down? Hideo observed. They must be accustomed to the environment; they do not appear weary. I do, Hideo admitted. He was nearing fatigue, his legs were in agony, but he had to keep pushing forward. The Konoha ninja was like a pack of dogs on his trail, Hideo childishly imagined; shaking the thought. He vision was blurry, his head was dizzy, and he barely could move. He was surprised he held on this long. He felt he was running for hours. His legs cramp. He was beginning to collapse. Then, he did. He topples over into a giant trench well known to the Konoha ninja given chase. They coordinated their movements to force Hideo to take the route they preferred. Damn it!, Hideo said shamefully; his eyelids were getting heavy as he descends into the dark abyss. Moments later, he would awaken in a big spider web. His eyes would grow wide at the nest living at the bottom. What the hell!! ​

You must be registered for see images Katakuri awoke. He'd made a hideout in a site none ought to suspect, with entry to it near the bottom of a big trench. He enters a state of alertness, wholly cognizant that things are amiss... He'd made webs of chakra-infused spider silk; their distribution is such that he is keenly aware of motion that occurs throughout his setup. Quite the commotion. While unperturbed by the events that transpire above, the apathy doesn't hold up once something, or someone, lands in the web he'd spread out in front of the entry. In either scenario, the web had to be checked, then cleared. He had to be sure that the integrity of the web wasn't compromised, and so he moves quickly. And midway, he deduced that it was more than likely to be the latter. He hadn't really given it much thought at all, but knew to be wary. He then erases his entire presence and works his way to the trench abyss. By the time he reaches the place, he sees the big spider he'd deployed as a sentry move in to bite whoever is caught within the web. But rather than let it proceed, he halts it.​ "Tell me, who might you be? Don't be shy. I am disinclined to keep you alive, but that can change."

✪ Spider Contract: RP Segment ✪ Hideo was pinned to the treacly webs when out of the blue he heard chatter in the corner. The noise grows louder as it approach towards his head. He wiggled his body to loosen himself but was unsuccessful. Then, the creature stops suddenly. On the walls of the trench, torches become visible as they lit the narrow space. From the shadows, a husky man reveals himsef and begin questioning Hideo. Hideo listens with interest and finally gave his reply; "You command this spider, you could've killed me at any time," he observed, then continued. "I do you no harm. I seek escape from this hell hole. I am Hideo. Please. Help." He pled; inclining his head with sincerity. ​

You must be registered for see images Katakuri gazes at the man who introduces himself as Hideo, with a serious, no-nonsense look. "It's pretty rude to call our location a hellhole. This is one of my domains, and I have a nest of spiders that also claim it as their valued home. To insult one's host is a grievous affair. You think me a merciful man, but there're more experiments to be had with one still breathing.. Besides, I'm not so sure that letting you go is in my best interest. You seem to be a rather clumsy ninja, and I fear that the things you might say to others could be equally clumsy. For me, it's not about gains—it's all about preservation, and I despise the idea of it being sullied. So, how might you convince me that your life is worth sparing?"​

Hideo sighed; relaxing his body which seems to lessen the tension (at least for himself). "And those words sting," he said with a wince and continued; "Also, about this preservation thing. I could be your apprentice." He put on a huge grin looking for approval. "Say, what's your name again?" He playfully asked while glancing at the man suspiciously. ​

You must be registered for see images "You say too serious? I disagree. I believe my words to be rational; in line with all the info I have at my disposal. You are very much an enigma and dislike such things falling into my web. I am entirely aware of a commotion up above, yet not the causation of it nor how you came to be in my abode.. A criminal, are you? I'm not a fool, and in fact, I think no one but a fool could fail to connect the dots." He frowns as he sees the boy grin, and his gaze intensifies as he listens to Hideo's cheekiness."How might an apprentice be of use to me, and what even makes you think you're at all qualified? You see, a half-assed sales pitch hasn't got much merit on its own. After all, actions speak louder than words."​

✪ Spider Contract: RP Segment ✪ There was a brief silence in the room after the man spoke with only the flickering flames from the torches can be heard dancing in the dark trench below. "Criminal?," Hideo said quietly with his head lowered and his short light brown hair draped over his forehead, covering half his face. His eyes peeked through parts of the hair that were separated and reflected the flames throughout the lit room - showing the rage within him. He pulled forward, but his body was still bound to the webs and shouted, "I tried to save those helpless kids," his eyes watered, but he holds back the tears. He remembers two smalls boys seated in the back alley between two buildings. Their faces sunk between their knees as they rubbed their stomachs, looking hollow. Hideo was saddened at the sight of them living out on the street alone. He had to approach them, but two Konoha ninja bump into his shoulder and then his attention turn to them. Standing in the middle of the crowded road, he saw the two Konoha ninja was carrying a box and overheard they were heading to Konoha storage building. He knew he had to do the right thing: rescue the kids. He steps in the direction of the Konoha ninja, unaware it was going to be a failure. Hideo pulled back falling to silence and feeling regrettable and said, "there is no point of convincing you. My life is in your hands now. Do what you must." ​
