I'm at the High Wall. I didn't face the boss yet since I died. So can I just stay here and farm souls? OR should I return to the Cemetery of Ash to farm souls? I want fast easy souls in the beginning areas.

its a great place to farm souls. once you get the dragon breathing fire you can have him collect 1k souls for you in just one attack every time

To be honest the game is set out a bit better than the other ones, to the point where you shouldn't have to stop and grind in any of the areas.
But if you really want to farm, finish the high wall and grind the next area. The Undead Settlement is packed with enemies.
