Alright now i want you to tell me what is dark release, what are it's weaknesses and strengths in general, and what are the absorbing and releasing weaknesses and strengths. This can all be in your own words and if you don't know what any of them are are, then tell me and i will tell you all about it before we begin.

Well, well. Smexy lust has come to give me personal one-on-one time. It must be the greatness of me being "kenpachi" .

Anyway, dark release is somehow a combination of fire/lightning and gives the user the ability to absorb certain jutsu and release a purplish chakra.

Strengths:
Is strong against Fire/Lightning/Wind and is double strong against raw chakra.

Weaknesses:
Weak against earth jutsu since it can't absorb earth. Is also weak against water jutsu because it can absorb the chakra but not the water.

Absorbing weakness:
Can't use other jutsu whilst absorbing a jutsu

Dark release is made of Fire and lighting, yes, but it's weaknesses are different now. What it used to be was that in general, dark Release was strong against S rank Raw Chakra, A rank Fire, Wind and Lighting, C rank water and nothing for earth and its weakness was B rank and above water and DOUBLE weak against earth. Now the rules have changed a little to where there is now an Absorbing weakness/strength and a Release weakness/strength:

Dark Release

Absorption ability:

Weak to: Earth and Water. Dark Release is used to absorb and redirect chakra and energy in general. This makes it so that while it can absorb the chakra in Earth and Water techniques, it will have a difficult time absorbing the Earth itself or the Water produced by techniques since it doesn't work exactly like a Fuuinjutsu technique. Earth suffers double strength towards the absorbing ability of Dark Release (meaning that only an S-Rank Dark release can absorb a B-Rank Earth technique).

Strong to: Raw chakra, Fire, Lightning, Wind and other forms of raw energy like Storm, Dust, Scorch or even raw Sage Jutsu. Raw chakra absorption and redirection is the core of Dark Release, making it gain double strength towards it (B-Rank Dark overcomes S-Rank Raw Chakra).

Release ability:

Weak to: Earth and Water. Both elements have substance and density to defend from raw forms of energy like those produced by dark release after the absorption of a technique. Other solid elemental forms may serve the same purpose, such as Solid Ice, Steel, Wood or Lava

Strong to: Wind and Fire. Both elements lack the substance and strength needed to actually overcome or even deal with the raw form of energy produced from dark release after absorbing a technique. Other intangible or less tangible elements such Snow (basically, snow based ice techniques), Sand, Rain, Steam, Boil, etc may also be susceptible of being overcome by the raw energy of Dark Release.

we cant absorb sand. that's for releasing anything we have absorbed like A rank fire. if you were to aim your absorbed dark release at a sand tech, then the dark release would overcome it, though i dont know exactly what rank it has to be though.
