Kurama said some very interesting things during the last fight between Naruto and Ishiki. In my opinion the most important statement he made was that "all chakra is connected". It hints at his future potential.
This is one of the main principles of Ninshu the discipline of the Sage of Six Paths. Considering Naruto's abilities it's like he has been training in Ninshu his entire life. Being a jinchuriki and a sage he has become a master of connecting with chakra.
Even with all that training Baryon Mode was still a leap for him because it manipulates chakra at its source which is the life force. This was stated by Kurama when he said "This same power that comes into being from bits of our lives..."
He also said "Don't make any unnecessary moves. Even rid yourself of superfluous thoughts." With that in mind the daikokuten seems like the perfect training ground for Naruto to practice an ability like Baryon Mode. He can't move and his senses are blocked. But he still has chakra and all chakra is connected. That means all chakra everywhere. But the only chakra source that wouldn't diminish his lifespan is the daikokuten where time is frozen.
