It was a lovely afternoon on a sunday, the birds flew by as the sun glared back at me. The year was 2020, the year that the world declared global peace and united into one government. After many struggles, deaths, and wars finally everyone ended up agreeing with one another and soon all unified into a singular group that led the world into a golden age of technology increase. Suicide rates, Illness, Crime, and even poverty rates declined greatly as money was united into one singular currency and then distributed among every person equally. We didn't live high and mighty like the rich but at least everyone had something to their name which brought about a global happiness. By now the sun had rotated behind a tall building which snapped me out of the day dream about the before times. As i turn my focus in front of me i could see many other buildings, tall and small facing back at me with clean perfect windows and clean walkway around these buildings, free of even dust. Life seemingly was perfect for everyone, there was no more trash in the stress for the workers were payed more, there was no dirty or foggy windows, for productivity of cleaners all around was increased due to the massive increase of payment salaries.
This was the new Denver, Colorado. A place of dreams and perfection, where people were fresh from all wrong doings. Everyone was perfect, the local jail completely empty and void of humanity. Daily people walk from home to work with perfect posture, wearing colorful suits and carrying briefcases with a smile. It wasn't till a month later of uniting the world that days shortened to 14 hours, and within a week later of the change days turned into 10 hours, then 5 hours, then 2 hours... May 18th, 2020, scientists have concluded that the earth has flung itself out from its own orbit in a rapid motion of spinning too fast the earth merely exited from its pin point axis, they now now that the earth is now so far away from the sun that we will no longer have light. This flung our world into eternal darkness.. wars began once again and insanity ensued after many fell into poverty. Cannibalism raged through the streets, anarchy shortly followed after mass poverty, food ran out in most areas of the city and water ran dry shortly after. Our world, once again returned to the black and gray life style but worse.. only black. We only were left with night, most of us committed suicide but the few that did survive the stressful and dangerous life that came as a result now live in abandoned buildings or maybe the underground sewers. Most of us fight for food and fresh water and the only law now that exists today is.. never walk the streets.
