HIS BACKGROUND STORY
The picture you see above is an illustration of Lord Darcia, possible the cruelest and most well developed villain of all time.
Darcia is from a family of wolves, who sinned and abandoned their natural image for the skin of a human. Because of this, his family, the Darcia family was forever cursed with a disease called 'Paradise sickness' that stole their souls and took them to paradise, a different area from earth, leaving their empty shell of a body there. They also lost the ability to transform back into wolves.
Darcia at a young age fell in love with a woman named Lady Harmona. His dream was to take her away from the planet, and to take her to paradise. A place where she can laugh, smile and live happily for the rest of her life with no worries. But she responded to him at this, 'But Darcia, this is paradise for me. Every time I'm with you, every time I see your smile... Is paradise enough for me'.
But then, one fateful day, she caught the disease from his clan that they initially thought was exclusive to their family. Her soul was taken, and he abandoned his duty as The Lord, causing his kingdom to collapse with only 1 servant left.
From then on, Darcia plotted to kidnap and sacrifice a woman named Cheza, who was part flowed, part human. She had the power to open the gates to paradise once she blossomed, which he wanted to speed up the process of and meet Lady Harmona there.
Later on, his Kingdom is attacked, and his servant is killed, and his wives body completely shot up and wounded, making it incapable of housing a soul anymore. This was Darcia's boiling point, where he snapped and went insane.
Failing time after time to kidnap her, his journey to capture her eventually lead him to the city of Babylon, a Utopia where he met a woman named Lady Jaguara, Lady Harmona's sister. It was then exposed that she was the one who poisoned her, leading to her death. She killed her because she was jealous of their love and wanted Lord Darcia's attention, but he ignored her. As punishment, he killed her and left the building. This was at first the end of the series... Until the uproar of fans demanded a better ending and the series was expanded.
At the end of the series, Darcia kills all of the main characters as the world is ending. He fights the main character, Kiba, to a battle of death and loses indirectly. As the world is freezing over and restarting itself, his body boils and melts in the pond that cleanses the soul, because he as denied access to paradise for his sins.
But his body isn't completely destroyed. As the world resets and begins anew, all the requirements to obtain paradise on earth are met, and all is well. But one portion of his body was saved from the ice from the last generation of earth... His eye. So it melts and thaws from the ice, and it's darkness and evil is consumed by the pond that it rested in and gives birth to sin, since that pond was the source of all that is holy in their world.

WHY HE'S SO EVIL
Basically, Darcia is sin an is reborn with every cycle that earth is reborn. He is responsible for all deaths before he is born, while he is alive, and after he dies. He is the reason why everything bad happens. He is the reason babies die, children are killed, parents are lost, crime, murder, theft and rapes happen. He is the evil in everybody's heart, and the existing force of evil itself.
And the crazy thing about it is this dude just won't ****ing die, he's too legit to quit. He tanked the damage from every main character over the course of a roughly 1 hour fight and race to the inside of a mountain where he gets boiled to death by the pond of cleanliness. Nothing but that can kill him.
And because he never dies, every time earth restarts and civilization begins anew as paradise, he is reincarnated into a new form of evil and spreads sin across the world. So no matter what happens, the force of evil (Darcia) will always exist, and the force of good (Kiba) will always exist to put him in his place, in a never ending battle of being reborn again, and again, and again, and again. So you could say that because of this, good and evil will constantly stalemate each other for everlasting eternity because he refuses to die.
And not only the fact that he's evil, but the way he spares no a single soul in the series before he does is pretty cruel. He kills everybody and severely wounds the main character, Kiba. And I didn't mention this, but Kiba is in love with Cheza who he protects throughout the series. Cheza is severely wounded by him and dies. And then Kiba is the last remaining person on earth to die. His death is required to achieve paradise, where Darcia spreads his wicked seed through the planet again. It's a very cruel process... Could you imagine your enemy killing the one you love most, as well as you and being the last person on earth to die?
That's Darcia for you.
