I don't think he ever took Sasuke seriously... Even around the end of the fight he was considering what to do about someone he thought was Madara Uchiha. Plus they also had a sensor on their side. Danzo was put into the worst situation in the series' history U_U

I actually liked Danzo as a character, he was strong but not OP except the sharingan spamming. He could have won that fight.....assuming Tobi wouldn't have stepped in

Danzou did not take Sasuke seriously. All the time he was like "okay, nice technique boy, not bad..." haha, he was laughing with him. If Danzou was serious from the start, he killed Sasuke in 1, 2 and 3 seconds.

I agree. Danzo could have defeated Sasuke if he focused on Sasuke instead of thinking way too ahead about Tobi.

He didn't, he let his ego get in the way and he lost. That made him one big fool. He is lucky no one from Konoha had to see how miserable his death was. It's too bad, really, I would've liked to see how Danzo plan on defeating Tobi.

All the time, while fighting Sasuke, he was thinking about how to defeat 'Tobi'. He never took Sasuke serious and that was his mistake.

If Danzou was serious from the beginning, he would have defeated Sasuke, even standing on one leg, lol. I don't even mention the fact that Karin saved Sasuke's lives like 3-4 times by saying Danzou's movements while Sasuke couldn't see them...

Danzou, you lost because of your own fault, else you would have won against Sasuke, there is no doubt. Your fight with 'Tobi' would have been epic!

Danzo was quite the boss, but with many characters like him, arrogance becomes your downfall.
