Don't really see how he is Danzo's lackey. He's just dumb and ended up being tricked and used by Danzo. It's not like he bent over for Danzo and let him hit it from behind.

He has his own mind. But he was made into a pawn in Danzo's game. Danzo might as well own him.

i find Hanzo's story/background very interesting/well written, a man wanting to reach peace in a life time of conflict using all the resources he had/his legendary status, only to loose himself/his goal/his way and stops sharpening his skills/improving.
the world moves on and other legends rise to surpass him which lead to his death, and all he could think of in his final moments was "what did i do wrong ?? how could this happen to me ??".

one of the few good things Kishi did in this war arc is giving him a fitting death/closure, he was once a man of honor and died as one, RIP Hanzo U_U

Still not sure if i'm okay with this twist, I prefer Hanzo as a bitter old man who lost his way on his own.
