See the small x-shaped scar on his chin? Obviously, after losing the Hokage seat, Danzo went into space with a rad hairstyle to hunt aliens to make his own rep. However, after Boobie's was shut down to an unfortunate event, Danzo returned to Konoha, sealing his emotions off so he'd never have to deal with the pain of losing Boobies.
