Anyone curious to why danzo only took one eye from shisui? The manga says danzo "took" the eye. Shisui didn't give it to him. So why didn't he just take both.

I highly doubt Danzo forcibly took one of Shisui's eyes. Shisui probably gave it to him to keep it safe

because he couldn't, I don't think Shisui was an easy prey plus he needed to do it discreetly or he likely would be hunted by the entire clan.

If he had been attacked by Danzo and got away like he did he could have gone right to Hiruzen and Danzo would have been wrecked
I still think Shisui gave it to him willingly knowing that he was going to die

Shisui didn't explain why and how Danzou got the first one. So exactly what do you expect to answer us?
Maybe Shisui was depressed with his clan/life and decided to commit suicide, yet didn't want his eyes to be wasted or being a patriot let it go in wrong hands and instead of putting all the egss in one basket he gave the two eyes to two different people, just in case one of them failed.

Shisui gave Danzo his eye so Danzo took it...
You misinterpreted what he said. That Manga link doesn't prove Danzo took it through force. Unless it was a setup or attack from behind, Danzo without implants isn't beating Shisui (one of the best in the clan at that time). And like you said, Danzo would have taken both if he did it through force.
