Danzo could probably keep all range attacks at bay with his wind jutsus.. I still think that if he plays his cards well he can do it.
btw: The paths were never shown to be able to summon Gedo Mazo. And to make the huge bolder the gravity path had to send all the others home. So this would only make things easier to Danzo. The paths have no answer for Izanagi.
Against Danzo I must say that Sasuke had better tools to fight it (Susano'o and genjutso) then The Paths.
you have to know the facts first before participate in a versus thread kiddo.
first pain can get a huge boulder via bansho tenin and crush danzo with it. chibaku tensei you mean is not even needed here. its just a waste.
pain can disrupt danzo's chakra making his ninjutsus fail.
pain can absorb danzo's chakra and all ninjutsu
pain can counter every taijutsu danzo knows.(we've seen danzos taijutsu..its crap)
pain can summon like 10 animals vs danzo's puny dream eater that was beaten by a fire tech
pain can rip danzo's soul out.
pain can push/pull danzo
pain can resurrect all paths

if danzo traded blows with the paths of pain that's gonna be the dumbest thing to do coz first off he will be facing all 6 at once and not 1 at a time. second he is fighting dead bodies and plus all this bodies can be resurrected/repaired.
he'll just lose all his eyes eventually. danzo had a 0.1% chance of defeating pain.lol
