He was, by far, the worst person in the entire series. Downright evil, selfish, corrupt, heartless and a coward from the start till the very end. And he had no sense of honour.

No other person beside him in the NV combines ALL of these negative attributes.

.genuinely wishes to protect Konoha.
which isnt some beacon of innocence to begin with, and is corrupt, mostly because of his own actions.
also no he doesnt. he tried to let konoha be massacred just so tsunade would be among the dead, thus allowing his coup to succeed. thats what uchihas shold have done really. let some akatsukis invade and do the dying, then swoop in and take power themselves

People fail to realize that despite Danzo's douchebaggery, he is technically on Naruto's side as far as protecting Konoha goes.
lol just because you have an evil person on your side, with no one knowing how evil he actually is till the hours before his death, doesnt mean he should be forgiven

. Danzo is justified in that the Uchiha have the most game breaking ability ever, which they can easily use to take control of Konoha's very poorly protected Jinchuuriki.
lol and what about the fact that sharingan is a rare ability and if they feared it so, then JUST KILL SHARINGAN USERS. no need to butcher housewives and kids whove done nothing but obey their clan

. And the sheer fact that the Uchiha even considered treason is an immediate execution sentence.
is it treason to stand up against a corrupted government?if so you should want the founding fathers killed off too for wanting an independent america.

e. You don't just let the people willing to launch a revolution and possibly cause a Fourth Great War to stay in your village when you seemingly patch things up.
correct. you unconditionally surrender or step down as leader.
the alternative, as you say, is killing and death.
had hiruzen been a true man, and a true leader, he would have seen that stepping down and letting uchihas come in and take over bloodlessly saves both sides from a war. he should have realised this is exactly what will of fire means and what hashirama would have done if caught in this situation.
hashirama understood that most uchihas werent as crazy as madara, and would pacify them in any way he can to avoid bloodshed.
at no point should genocide even be an option, even if its to stop a war.
you can stop wars many other ways.

And the sheer fact that the Uchiha even considered treason is an immediate execution sentence.
let me ask you a question. if the genocide of uchihas was so heroic and righteous, why didnt the elders just come clean and admit what they did?

His overall goal was complete power. Nothing except for your own personal opinion suggests Danzo would be a tyrannical murderous ruler.
except the fact he already is in the story. what with brainwashing people to be emotionless mindless slave soldiers, and committing genocide, then covering it up to protect his own worthless hide and trying to brainwash his way to being ruler of the world

Tobirama is a nasty Uchiha hater, who practices some of the most malicious jutsu known to man. Guess what? He's still a hero. The Anbu exist in order to once again, protect Konoha.
konoha is such a corrupt nightmare BECAUSE of danzos brutal methods and ways. its a self fulfilling prophecy.
and at no point did i claim tobirama was a hero like his brother. you claimed that which is horrifying given said malicious creations.
and you have yet to justify making your own men kill each other.

What Konoha is, is irrelevant. If he was trying to protect it, he was a hero to Konoha. Simple.
i see. so since madara tries to "protect" humanity, hes a hero? evne if his methods involve eternal enslavement? your warped morals scare me. your morals allow pretty much the worst of all mass murdering villains to instantly be heroes just by them claiming some rhetoric about "protecting" their family/clan/world. like zod in man of steel or the emperor in warhammer 40k.
danzo already decided the best way to "protect konoha" was to not even try to save it from being destroyed or save tsunade from being killed, just so he can swoop in and rule whoever survived.

Depends on what side of the street you're on. He had good intentions.

Neither, he was chaotic neutral or something along those lines.

I have no idea why so many readers look at him as a villain. It must be really hard for some to see beyhond an Uchiha's swagger.

Danzō did a lot of shit for the sake of the village like recruiting children to his cause and forcing Itachi to murder his entire family, but none of that made him a villain per se because he was acting in Konoha's interest.

Danzō crossed the line into villainy when he purposefully held back his own shinobi and murdered the toad messenger. That wasn't for Konoha's sake. That was for personal gain, pure and simple, and it could have potentially cost many lives if not for Naruto inspiring Nagato to revive them all, and perhaps even more if the other villages decided to capitalise on Konoha's weakness by invading the country.

No other person beside him in the NV combines ALL of these negative attributes.

You didn't read Danzō's death, did you Squidward?

Good intentions, foul methods, like I said.
you mean delusional intentions and horrifically evil methods.
im sure hitler had "good intentions" for making germany strong.

What Konoha is, is irrelevant. If he was trying to protect it, he was a hero to Konoha. Simple.
hitler was trying to protect nazi germany.
konha is corrupt because danzos making it corrupt with his brutality and brainwashing.
hes the problem, that needed to be cut out.
its extremely relevant. heroism is not dependent on POV. its dependent on selflessness.
he's geared more towards a hero in my eyes. As his overall goal is protecting Konoha.
his overall goal is collecting power for himself. he let konoha be DESTROYED so he could rule the ashes.
Tobirama is a nasty Uchiha hater, who practices some of the most malicious jutsu known to man. Guess what? He's still a hero.
no he isnt. if you enslave the dead, you are not a hero.
