He lives by "The end justifies the means" He was planning on being a great Hokage, the fact that he didn't reign long enough is not because he was a sucky Hokage. He was diplomatically the smartest person in the series, he was responsible for the Uchiha clan massacre, and he would have made a great Hokage if he had the chance. At his death it is revealed he did everything for the village, and loves Konoha. He is a hero of Konoha--even though no one sees it because no one was there. He said himself he would be the one reformer that would change the ninja world. If he was a part of the war right now, it would be over, he would KA Tobi and end this all now.

Totally agreed. Danzo was a good guy, but the way he did things made ppl think he was evil.
If Danzo was the 5th Hokage, Sasuke would have been dead since the time he tried to leave the village or after he would have killed Itachi. This would have save alot of heartache and hatred from happening as a result of Sasuke's actions

Danzo's means were drastic but in a way he was better than Tsunade.

But the things he did before that.. Makes him the worst.. And he showed his true colors at the Summit. Hashirama and Tobirama .. would have to be the top smartest. (political wise). And again he cared for the village but not much for the people of the village itself. And Danzo would get raped be Edo madara. Tsunade actually is actually better of fighting Edo madara. lmao.

Hokage wise, if you actually count him as one, he is the worst.
but other countries have had worse ones so its all fair.
not every country is perfect, we just grew on the leafs side so i understand why you would blow this out of proportion.

Anyways, although hes not one of my favorite characters he is no different than any other ninja who has goals and beliefs.
He wanted his way of world peace and tried to obtain power just like any other bad guy.
He falls in the same categories as nagato, madara, tobi, and kabuto.(other fodder villains who failed aswell)
So i dont undersand how you can hate his beliefs yet yall put madara on a pedistool of some sort -_-

Although Danzo is a bad guy, i loved his fighting style.
He showed us different uses of Wind techniques, had one of the best animal summons, and showed us seals as prooof he was trained by the second hokage.

I disliked he had his men retreat instead of help the leaf, but for that he got what he deserved.

Other countries have had worse?? like whoo??? other countries never had a hokage that allied with his/her village's enemy.

Nope Hanzo was a good guy deep down and the "anzos" have to stick together xd

on a serious note yeah he was unless you consider zombie Yagura as a actual Kage (Years of the bloody mist)

Hanzo wasn't a good guy.. lol.

I disagree almost completely.

I can't believe this is coming from Tobirama's number 1 fan X_X

Danzo.. Danzo.. Danzo. The guy who did so much for the leaf... YET screwed the leaf up to. Lets see some of Danzo's events that make him the worst.

1. Dealings with Hanzo. WHEN Hanzo was agains the leaf

2. Dealings with Orochimaru. WHEN Orochimaru wanted to destroy the leaf.

3. Let the village get destroyed, so he could become the 6th Hokage.

4. For using the shinobi of the leaf as mere tools.

5. Thought about the Village itself, Instead of the people of the village. (which is pretty stupid.)

6. Tried to make himself the Supreme commander of Shinobi forces through manipulation, BUT failed bad.

7. Uchiha massacre. (did something when there was no need)

8. Jealousy and Wanted power (another reason for his decision on uchiha massacre)

9. He was much like Madara.. power hungry dictator, wanting to be in control.

I have taken the Kabuto incident into account and all that I just didn't put it in the list straight forward. But it was taken into account.

So now for all those who think Danzo, is a great man.. A great political guy who does what needs to be done.. and is the hero. ERRRRRRR NO.

And some of those who like Danzo and think he is a hero of some sort. Talk to people who hate Danzo, like they are kids or something. BUT ANYONE WHO THINKS DANZO is a hero is not a adult. OR atleast they don't have the Will of Fire mentality and don't think like wise people. ;].

So leave your stuff down below to if he is a hero or not. Or if you think he was doing it for the good. ;].

Ok, I must disagree. He NEVER purposely went against the Leaf. EVERYTHING he did was to aid it. EVERYTHING. Let me take a look at your list...

1. He ONLY teamed up with Hanzo to defend against a threat. Whether they didn't mean to go against the Leaf or not, Akatsuki was extremely powerful, and if you're an outsider looking in, it's a threat. Actually, IF Akatsuki had been successfully with back then, then the ninja world could very likely not be facing their current situation. So in reality, what he did with Hanzo was entirely for good.

2. He never dealt with Oro before Oro put into effect his attempt to destroy the Leaf. He only used Oro's intelligence and willingness to do dirty work in order to do good for the Leaf, while Oro was still working WITH the Leaf Village. There is no proof that he worked with Oro AFTER Oro split ties.

3. This is the best example you have for sure, so all that I shall say is that I am sure that he did not expect the destruction of the Leaf to be that extensive. Otherwise, he still did it for the Leaf, because he certainly believed that he could strengthen the Leaf on a level beyond that of Tsunade. So it was still to protect the Leaf, in a way, going by the logic that sometimes you have to tear it apart before you can rebuild it more powerfully.

4. This was to protect the Leaf as well obviously. Without those shinobi doing what they did, chances are the Leaf would have been destroyed on multiple occasions. The best example is Itachi of course. If he doesn't preemptively destroy the Uchiha clan, then the Leaf avoids a Civil war and a possible World war. And who manipulated Itachi like a tool? Danzo.

5. If he cares for the Village, he cares for it's people. They go together. All of his underground work was to make it so the regular people didn't have to worry about the actual many many problems that the Leaf really had. Because of him, the Village (including it's people) could live peacefully with less worries.

6. This does not make him bad. He believed that he would be the best commander, and that could definitely be right, the Samurai guy said so himself. What he did was make an attempt to rule out all doubt that the best guy got the job. His style was to never take risks, and eliminate the problem at the root.

7. There was TOTALLY a need for this, are you kidding? If the Uchiha waged a war, not only they would all die anyways, but tons of other ninja and innocents would die as well. 100% necessary.

8. Wanted power to better defend the village. All he did was for the Leaf. He WAS jealous, but only because Hiruzen could better protect the Leaf than he could.

9. This is literally a restatement of your 8th point. Which wasn't true.

10. The Kabuto incident was also all for the Leaf. Considering the information Kabuto/the other lady had on the Leaf, an enemy village could EASILY use that to cause extreme troubles for the Leaf. Definitely a necessary risk.

Finally, you say a wise man would realize that what Danzo did was bad? A wise man would realize that he did good.

Honestly, the ninja world at the time, with so much war and mistrust was incredibly dangerous. For the Leaf, someone like Danzo NEEDED to step up and deal with that part of the world. He did it for the Leaf, and no one else did.

The Leaf's elders and even Hiruzen agree with me. I'm sure that if Hiruzen's attempts at diplomacy with the Uchiha's had failed (which I'm sure they would have) he would have agreed with the massacre. But he was in fact too slow. His diplomacy would have just led to the attack, and the war. Danzo made the right choice.

Hmm.i Believe gaara's father was just as bad if not worse. Worked w/ oro, then got killed by him. He disowned his own son, which was also the power they had as a nation.

The Mists Jinchuriki/kage must of also been bad. The Mist has been known for siding w/ badguys. and in the end he got taken control over by madara.

We honestly dont know the past of most kages, but there was obviously alot of war before this time for a reason.
Thats why i agreed w/ you that he is the worst Hokage if you count it.

If you oppose i guess we can just agree to disagree?

1. He was allied with Hanzo aka the guy who fought the 3 sanin. Ok. Akatsuki had nothing against the leaf during that time. Hanzo was a enemy of the leaf. And that is a fact.

2. Uh is that the reason why Danzo was worried that Orochimaru's affiliations with Danzo would put him at a great risk to not become hokage.

3. Actually he did. He stated Tsunade would protect the most.. But some sacrifices would be made for him to be hokage.

4. Leaf would have avoided Civil war Due to the third Hokage anyway. Danzo was against loosing power.. During Sarutobi's reign Danzo had power.. So if a uchiha stepped in Danzo goes bye-bye.

5. Sacrificing your people so you could become the village's hokage.. hmm not so caring for the people is it now. ;]. And like you said the people and the village go togather.. yet he massacred a clan of th leaf ;x.

6. Actually it means he wanted power.. Ok. We all know Raikage is the better commander.. why?? because he is a militant guy. Danzo is a sneaky weasel. And manipulating a WORLD LEADER isn't something?

7. The uchiha waged a Coup d'etat. Not a war. War is killing. War is when both sides want to fight. Coup de'tat is a revolution. NOT a WAR. It was up to the leaf to start a war (just like Sarutobi said).

8. He wanted power. He was aka the Stalin..Stalin cared for Russia. But he did screw up the people..

9. liltle bit different then the 8th.

10. uh yea it was for the leaf.. But Kabuto's mom was a leaf citizen. lmao. Danzo played with his ninja like puppets.. And threatening is against the WILL OF FIRE.

I already admitted he did good. Thats why he was in number 2 in the who did most for the leaf.. keyword the LEAF.

No.. At that point Akatsuki were the Right ones... not Hanzo. Akatsuki became "BAD" after Yahiko's death.

Hiruzen never would have failed why?? because he would have listened to them. Hiruzen went with the will of fire.. other 3 not so much. Sarutobi and the uchiha elders were friends (just like Sarutobi said). Again it was up to the leaders of the Leaf to cause a war.. not the uchiha.. Uchiha were basically bringing a revolution. The leaders didn't want to give uchiha political power. (just like they screw up every decision tsunade tried to make).

Conclusion: There is a difference between doing something for the village and doing it for the people of the village. A hokage's responsibility is to not let the villagers get hurt.. Which is why TSUNADE is a better hokage then Danzo.

The bottom of this post shows that you are neither an adult or have the capability of even understanding the will of fire.

and questioning my understanding of the will of fire.. Just makes me think if you even know what it stands for .. do you want me to explain it?

Will of Fire: It states that every true Konoha shinobi must love, believe, cherish and fight for the village's sake, as previous generations had done before them.

Now my question is.. Killing or letting villager's die is part of the philosophy that Hashirama lived by?

You know what, I'll digress. I don't agree with your portrayal of Danzo. But I'm not going to argue how all of what he did was in essence good.

In fact, I'm actually going to agree with you. Danzo is not fit for Hokage. Why? Because his style of protecting the Leaf is to do it in the shadows. As Hokage, that wouldn't happen. What he does is do the work that makes the hokage look good. He is not a person of the people. The only reason I think he wanted to become hokage is because that way he won't have someone to answer to so that he can do his business protecting the Leaf. But it's still not a role meant for his type of character. So I'll actually agree with you, he is not at all the best hokage, but NOT for the reasons you gave. I still stand by my belief that no one has done more for the Leaf than he has.

Exactly.. He is not the Hokage type. And yea that was the reason he wanted to become hokage. Hokage = Power. Plus, the other 2 oldies were on his side from the start. And Besides tobirama and Hashirama . Danzo would be the guy who has done alot for the leaf. BUT I will not say that he is worthy of Hokage title why? because people like Tobirama and Hashirama and Minato and Sarutobi and Tsunade have had that title.

Danzo did what was right to him to protect the village. BUT in doing so he hurt the village alot also. But during his end time he became lil selfish.
