Look, why does everyone hate Danzo? I am like him, heavily logical rather than emotional. Tsunade was naive. If I were Hokage, I would have killed Sasuke a long time ago! He is a rogue ninja who attempted to abduct someone, is wanted by many nations, and flat out has no feelings for Naruto anymore! Why does Naruto still try if it's lost cause? Why doesn't want to kill this, this villain?! Also, Naruto would have a squad of ANBU Black Ops watching him closely since he is unpredictable and rash. If it Tsunade hadn't been so illogical, Pain would never have succeeded in destroying the village. Yes, I know Danzo was standing on sidelines during the atttack, but it was because nobody respected him, so why should he save disrespectful ingrates? The Leaf needs a strong and rational Hokage, the Leaf needs Danzo (who is like me)!

All of the hokage had more than just smarts, courage, faith, compassion, empathy. Danzo didn't have any of those. Even though he had ROOT he still tried to control and protect the village by himself and through his own means. He set himself up to fail from the start.

I liked Danzo alright. He was highly precautious though, I mean putting a seal on your subordinates tongues just so they couldn't talk, that's pretty hardcore. I agree that all of the previous Hokage's possessed all of the above mentioned traits and that Danzo didn't other than smarts, he was smart. I didn't like that he was in with Orochimaru and allowed the Leaf to be easily attacked for his own purposes and gain (to become 5th/6th Hokage) and allowed innocent people to die. What a douche . . . I sure wish he would've been able to mess Sasuke up more than he did!

Personally danzo is alright though I don't like him because he stood around during the invasion waiting for something bad to happen to Tsunade who was out there trying to save the village putting her in my book as my favorite kage and a good one at that imo. Also she didnt kill sasuke a long time ago because she knows how much sasuke means to naruto and she cares about naruto so she wouldnt just go and send people to kill him. Naruto still tries because he believes that somewhere deep down inside that there is still hope but now he knows that bringing sasuke back to konoha as a citizen is not going to happen and that they may both have to die. Tsunade is not illogical either she didnt know when Pain was going to invade the village and when he did it was a surprise and she did the logical things which were having shizune deduce what the piercings on the body were actually chakra receivers, sending word for naruto to come back to the village, and healing all the villagers as well. And Danzo wasn't sitting on the sidelines because people disrespected him in fact very few knew little of him as he worked in the shadows he just waited until Tsunade would be incapacitated enough so that he can take the hokage position. Danzo loved Konoha and had a different way of doing things but imo Tsunade is a much better hokage

okay u have a point. they do have contrasting leadership styles. but regardless of how he felt tsunade wuz running the leaf he shouldnt have stood by and watched pain. he cant be a hokage of nothing. and thats why he didnt get the job in the first place. if he did things the right way he would have it. if he had jumped in and helped save the village like naruto did then he would have ben handed the postion with no problems. and the way he handled things from then on is what led to his downfall.

Basically, you're arguing logos over pathos, logic over emotion. Rational minds will always struggle with irrational decisions. However, how boring would it be if we all acted rationally and in our best interest? How boring would this Manga be if they kept Naruto locked up in a cell and assassinated Sasuke when he first became a rouge ninja? Emotion, not logic, compel people and makes for a compelling story. As for Donzo, I didn't hate him myself, but I never could support a man who sat on the sidelines while his fellow ninja battled to save the village.

i want to know what kind of relationship he had with madara. last time they've seen each other was around the time of the uchiha massacre. so he and itachi were the only ones to know his true identity at that time or wat?

well i personally dont hate danzo
Im annoyed that he didnt play a main part in the series until recently in the anime and his position as hokage is so brief its kinda pointless kikashi accomplishes as much as him as hokage with the exception of the shinobi alliance which was a joint decision amongst the kages
anyways you all seem passionate about naruto series
so think of it like this naruto and sasuke have been rivals from the begining and formed a bond and naruto beleives he can still change sasukes mind and make him a friend again he has been chasing sasuke for 3-4 years if he gives up now its going to be a waste of time as madara says in the manga sasuke and naruto have been rivals from the start its thier fate
naruto will keep trying to convince sasuke until the end and i dont recall who said it but they said naruto and sasuke are going to fight until they both die something along those lines

it was naruto who said that they would fight till the death because he brought up the valley of the end fight were sasuke said something like when to top class ninja's fists meets they can tell what the other one is thinking.
