Danzo is underrated

Danzo didn't use KA on Sasuke because he was waiting to use it on Obito. Sasuke, whose genjutsu skill is far below Itachi's, has no in-canon way to counter KA. Itachi even counted on KA working on Sasuke when he implanted it into his crow.

KA wasn't available until seconds before Sasuke stabbed Danzo in the heart. In a true 1v1 Karin wouldn't have been there and Danzo couldn't have stalled by taking her hostage.

Typically no one includes KA as it's mechanics are unclear. Either way, if Danzo has to rely on an absolutely unbeatable jutsu to defeat a 16 year old, then he's not that good at all.

We havnt seen much skill from Danzo...if it weren't for hes Izanagi spam he would have died the moment he got caught by Sasuke's Susanoo...he's still badass though...just not that strong compared to other characters.

First thread I've eve seen in favor of Danzo and doesn't shit on him for being an awful person.

Still, I'm gonna have to disagree. He's got the skills, but no way is he top ten or top 15 even. As stated before, he got stomped by Sasuke and everything on Sasuke's side for his winning doesn't really make Danzo look any better.

Just because kishi trying to say sasuke is op doesn't mean whoever he defeated is weak; otherwise naruto is garbage since he lost to sasuke, but I believe 1 tail naruto same level as sasuke, maybe sasuke slightly better, base on part 1.

sasuke is strong and your wrong. danzo nearly killed sasuke and cut his head off but he stopped because he wanted to lecture him. plus he could have used KA to oneshot sasuke but it wasnt active

izanagi was just stalling for time to get to his real power which was shisuis eye. show me where he used izanagi for shuriken. its not like hes losing anything by healing from shuriken

sauske was a powerhouse. most of the danzo hate i think comes from the notion that MS sasuke is somehow weak when hes not. sauske did good. danzo did good. it was a high level battle and izanagi is just another one of danzos arsenal. not even his strongest tech.

danzo nearly killed sasuke with curse seal but he stopped to lecture him which bought sasuke time. so danzo was the stronger fighter.
sasuke was full health and had good eyesight so thats wrong.
sasuke was 16 but still very powerful, more powerful than most 30 year olds so you saying his age comes off as desperate attempts to downplay sasukes powers.
naruto beat kakuzu and nagato so how much is experience really playing a part in naruto? oh right you dont liek danzo so your trying to downplay his opponent as much as you can.

Danzo may have lots of power-but he fought like a thug with little to no strategy, and was not skillful. He was up against a 17 year old MS user, who was already starting to go blind(it started after the killer bee fight), had lost the curse seal powers from Oro(which he had learnt to master and had become a major part of his fighting style) and he still had NOT even mastered his MS powers.(his susanoo developed during the fight, he never even used v4) The fact that Danzo lost was appalling. If it was EMS Sasuke, I would have understood. but given the conditions, the way he fought was disgraceful.

danzo is pretty weak compared to most strong characters...losing to a sasuke who newly obtained MS was a poor feat...and sasuke beating danzo doesn't even add up much to sasuke's credibility.

danzo is still pretty awesome though

stop mentioning sauskes age. he was a venerable beast that few shinobi at the time could have faced and hoped to stand a chance. id say only SM naruto, obito and kabuto would have fought sasuke evenly.

The fact that Danzo lost was appalling.

the fact danzo is kage level and almost killed a fellow kage level three times is godlike and impressive. he skillfully used his superior stamina to get sasuke. had sasuke been less insane, he wouldnt have stabbed karin, and thus danzo would ahve proceeded with his plan to KA him and then take on obito together.
and earleir in the fight, danzo had sasuke at his total mercy and was gonna cut his head off. but he stopped to lecture him about how sasukes just an emotional kid. giving sauske time to break the seal.
