Where do u think the meaning come from anti hero. Anti hero is against hero philosophy because of their weak or soft , won't get their hands dirty (naruto).
Right but by your definition, it said he must be a protagonist, he is not, he is an obstacle suiting him to be a villain.

He was a pathetic cowardly villain pretending to be an anti-hero and got what was coming to him. He deserved worse imo. The other two elders deserve a similar fate as well.

Cm punk and stone cold Steve Austin are anti hero characters in wwe, they fight, and stick it to wwe chairman vince. Fans love them because they not Golden Boy establishment wrestler, Mr Vince likes in wwe.

He was a bad guy who thought he was doing whats best for Konoha even though his decisions led to death of hundreds and thousands of innocents and his own village was not spared.

That's a tough one but I think tobimara is still a good guy with some flaws but never really acted on them that much whereas Danzo has shown to act on his hatred for uchiha in asking the third hokage to wipe them out. It's interesting because I could see it going both ways I guess

he didnt really hate them he was just more careful with them because of their power he even had uchiha under him

All y'all forget that naruto manga is for pre- teen and teen manga. There are no real bad guys in naruto manga just whole bunch of anti hero/ hero.

He was anti hero. Define: antiheroine , is a protagonist who lacks conventional heroic qualities such as idealism , courage, or morality .

Although
antiheroes may sometimes do the "right thing", it is often because it
serves their self-interest rather than being driven by moral convictions.

A bad guy. Danzo was a villain through and through and only wanted to be hokage for his own selfish desires, and tried to kill any and everything that opposed that desire. Sasuke is more of an anti hero than danzo.

The thing is, it's hard to say because he's shown to be both very dedicated to the village but also this bond was forged by personal weakness and his own safety.

At least he's very up-front and true to his actions. Plus his cowardice tides him over into light villain territory for me, the motive of their origin story is a good indicator as to their role in the story. Danzo's was jealousy.

He was a villain, who believed that he doing the right thing. His death was well deserved along with Tobirama's.

Stop using the "he thought he was doing the right thing" defense, because I could say the same for Obito and Madara yet you people would disagree. Jeeze the hypocrisy.

A villain who just happened to be on a different side to the other villains.

There is a major difference in between what Danzo was willing to sacrifice for his village and what Madara and Obito sacrificed to reach reach their goals. Both were well intentioned extremists, but Danzo had a line he knew not to cross.
