Why did he kill the messenger frog who was going to inform Naruto of Pain's attack on Konoha....????
What was he doing during Pain's attack on the Leaf Village..??
Cause I think he just wanted power and so he wished to be the Hokage to get that power.... He stopped that frog so that the village would be destroyed and Tsunade would loose her Hokage status and he would get the Hokage's seat....

2: Danzo was not a coward when he left Konoha when Pain attacked. He truly believed Konoha needed him as a Hokage so he decided, with pain in his heart, to abandon the village, so that he could make it better again later.
3: Danzo wanted power? Sure, who doesn't? He loved Konoha, he protected Konoha for years and he died for it. Danzo is a dark hero.

He used too drastic measures to become the guy that the village needed, wich does not really make you the

Danzo is complicated, he is basically the end justifies the means.

He really was trying to protect the villiage at the end of the day, he was just extremely brutal about it.

Also he clearly would make a bad Hokage as shown at the Five Kage Summit where he made the others mad at him.

Well , he made Sasuke hate Konoha even more by what he said during their fight and , the thing I hated him for the most is that he killed the messanger frog during Nagato vs Konoha. Not only for the frog ( which was kinda sympathetic but anyway) but because he delayed Naruto's arrival so Nagato destroyed the vilage. If kishi hadn't use that "trick" where the other frogs noticed his name vanishing and that granny frog collecting herbs near the village (cheap tricks to make naruto aware) who would have stopped Nagato?

Danzo prevented Akatsuki to have a chance at encountering the Kyuubi, so Danzo did it for that good cause of protecting not just konoha but shinobi world, thats a form of "stopping" Nagato

What Danzo lacked was the power to believe like Tsunade has on Naruto

See, that is the difference between me and you. It's not because Danzo is a dark hero who wanted to use Naruto's power for Konoha, that I need to hate him...

I like interesting characters, characters who act where they believe in.

Naruto is the hero Konoha needs, Danzo was the protector Konoha needed.

Yeah, you read it. Danzo is a hero!

He loved Konoha, we all agree about that. And yes, his methods were hard. But he saw what a danger the Uchihas were, he saw it all from the beginning so he acted from out the shadows to stop this clan. This evil, like he said it.
He did it for Konoha, he did something where he 100% believed in. Danzo made himself look like the bad guy, just to save Konoha.

And I don't care he manipulated Itachi... He did it for Konoha, and according to some fanboys/girls from a certain character, that makes you a hero so Danzo is a hero!

Danzo is a hero indeed. One can question his ways but he had a good heart. He wanted the best for Konoha and the Shinobi world. He wasnt selfish as some tend to believe. He didnt want to become Hokage just for the kick of it, but because it would allow him to have more control. He could make his plans more reality as a Hokage.

Danzo gets to much bashing and not enough praise.

People who believe he was evil, havent carefully taken a look at the character imo.
When you look with an open minded mind, you can see that he wanted the best for the greater good, the shinobi world and Konoha. I dont agree with his ways though. I would have done it differently.
