Earth is one of the basic 5 elements Doton jutsus allow the user to utilise earth for the purpose of attacking and defending and even transportation using the earth. Earth jutsu are mostly created through the manipulating of a preexisting earth source. Earth includes the manipulation of dirt, mud and rocks. Earth is strong against water but weak against lightning. Earth element can be combined to the water element for making the wood element that's only can be used by Yamato and the First hokage Also it can be combined with the fire element for creating the lava element.

Great.Now then this jutsu is simple but can be used in various combinations when used right.You simply focus your chakra anywhere in the sky up to mid range.Once you have done this you simply open up a portal in the sky using your earth chakra and make mud fall from the sky.It's weird right?
I want you to tell me when you would use this and give me a combination using this jutsu and be creative.

Well seeing as the portal opens up above the opponent it could be used to distract them as the mud would stick on them and coat them completely. If the mud doesn't hit the opponent it would mire the opponent and restrict their movement and potentially slow them down leaving them open to other attack. This jutsu could be used with a Katon jutsu to harden the mud and completely immobilize them; a Suiton jutsu wouldn't be a good as it would wash the mud off.

Okay.Also the water will wash wash the mud of but you have to remember the volume of water you are using as it can be used in conjunction with it and not against it depending on that.Do you have any questions before moving on? I also would like you to find a picture of the jutsu so you have a visual reference of it also.

I would use this to trap multiple opponents or even multiple clones because of the size of the massive lid and since it can be used at any range. I would use this jutsu when the opponent has been slowed down or immobilized so it can be used if the previous jutsu we learned, is used successfully. The lid can be pierced through with lightning and wind techs to allow the opponent to escape from the lid after it has caught them. Here's a picture and I think an Anbu did this one as well.

A simple but usefull jutsu.The create a shadow clone made of mud which is allowed to use up to C rank earth jutsu.This clone isnt really effected by taijutsu as it will just mould back into its original shape.Once again when would you use this?Combination? I would use this jutsu to combat taijutsu users or to engage the opponent in taijutsu as it can't be affected by taijutsu or ninja tools. It can be combined with a Raiton jutsu because the clone is composed of mud so the opponent could potentially get their hand/leg stuck in the clone which would give me a chance to use another jutsu. Large amounts of water could make the clone lose its form and turn back into mud but the clone could defend against these with up to C-rank earth jutsus. Orochimaru used this technique several times.

I would use this jutsu to scare the opponent and frighten them into jumping in the air hopefully, leaving them open to a follow up attack. They couldn't use the ground to their side since that rises up to form the jaws. The jutsu strengths would be the fact that it can be used at any range and the opponent wouldn't be able to evade if on the ground because of the ground rising. However since it requires a large amount of hand seals the opponent would be prepared for the initial rise of earth and could dodge before the ground has fully risen. It would be a good combination with a blinding technique for example the Lightning Flash Pillar as the opponent wouldn't be able to see the hand seals or the rising jaws.

For the combination they wont be able to see the hand seals but they will be able to hear the ground shake and feel it move so be careful when doing that combination.Anyway that was good and dont forget to ask any questions even if they sound 'silly'.
