Danzō should have given Itachi Hashirama's DNA

It just occurred to me that Danzō had it, and Danzō's first concern was Konoha.

To that end, he knew Itachi was dependable. He should have also known this:

1. Hashirama's DNA and Shisui's eye, in Itachi possession, would be a gamebreaker.

2. Hashirama's DNA would give Itachi godly stamina and infinite Mangekyō (Obito,) maybe even Rinnegan.


Goddamn it, Danzō.

Hashirama's DNA probably would have also prevented his sickness. And yeah, Danzo did have faith in Itachi. But the question is whether or not Itachi would accept this or even think it ethical for shinobi to use. I think h would prefer to obtain his power through training rather than going through with implanting DNA.

Not that there isn't anything wrong with implanting DNA. And the rinnegan? He would still need the EMS to get that. He could probably control a rinnegan eye if he ever came into possession of one though.

I think Danzo was already weary of Itachis strength. Itachi with Senju dna, and healthy...imo would be the strongest character in the manga after Rikudou. Just my opinion. If not the strongest equal to, or slightly very slightly weaker than Edo Madara. All just opinion.

I don't think he trusted Naruto in the same way he trusted Itachi though (as Itachi had gone above and beyond.)

But I could be wrong about that. Maybe he didn't trust Itachi either.

it saved a kid pretty much broken in 2
