Dan or Sakumo? Who's more significant?

I don't see why Kishi chose to bring back Dan instead of White Fang. Kishi purposely had Pain kill Kakashi so that Kakashi would talk to Sakumo. Sakumo's soul is apparently out of reach now because he can finally has the pride to see Kakashi's mom. What was Kishi's reason for not making Sakumo an Edo, but Dan?

I feel like Dan would have played a bigger role if was to run into Tsunade, but since that didnt happen there was no reason to bring him out IMO.

And I feel like Sakumo would have done so much more in the war especially if was put up against Kakashi

Sakumo is Kakashi's dad, Kakashi is more relevant and important than Tsunade imo. And Sakumo would've made for a great battle to watch

I agree. Sakuma would have been AWESOME to see in action. And I imagine we'll see more of Dan, which should be awesome. I wanna see him in actual combat.
