Hello, guys! :hi:
I've just finished reading Inferno by Dan Brown so I decided to write a review( not only about Inferno but about Dan Brown's work). I hope that you'll like it.

It's not easy to say that the book is good or bad, especially, when we are talking about Brown's novels. Yes, it's true that his novels are on the top of the best seller lists (BSL) now but what will happen tomorrow? Will he live on or will he be one of these writers in rows who disappeared in the arms of almighty Highness of Time? Naturally, we may only speculate about the answer but I'll make step forward and I'll dare to say that Dan Brown and his work will survive.

Five years ago my English teacher introduced to me a world of a… well, she called him a genius, American author Dan Brown. That was my first encounter with Robert Langdon in the, yeah, as you can guess, Angels & Demons. I read that book in a day or two but when my teacher asked me about the first impressions I couldn’t specify what kind of book is that, where it belong and is it favourite or not. Only that I could tell was ‘Yeah, I’ll continue reading Dan Brown’s work.’ And I did. And, now, after I’ve read Inferno, I don’t regret for saying that.

So what is the beauty of Brown’s novels? Or the better question would be… Where is the beauty of his novels?

Speaking the truth, Brown doesn’t have a talent to compose ‘seductive’ sentence easily like, for example, Zafon. As a consequence of that you’ll never find that kind of descriptions in the Brown’s novels where you, literally, can sense the buildings, flowers, smells or touches like you can in Zafon’s Wind of the Shadow, for example. Also, the narrator of the story in Brown’s novels switches places unpleasantly from time to time and that can induce confusion between the audience. However, Brown is very good in hiding his own flaws. When the sentence itself is not convincible and powerful enough the writer must compensate for that loss and find way to hide it.

So, the magical beauty in Brown’s novels is in the mighty system of information which circles in the every sentence, every paragraph of his work. When I read Angels & Demons, and when I closed the last page, the book with its information didn’t want to let me go. Year after that when I visited the Vatican City in Rome I was able to see the world of Angles & Demons with my own eyes and to use information system that didn’t let me go when I closed the book. Most of you who visited Florence or Venice before reading Inferno actually can walk together with Robert and Sienna and learn more then you already know. However, Inferno is not only great tourist guide for Florence and Venice but it’s at the same time great guide for reading Dante and understanding Dante. I always respected Dan Brown because of his knowledge about the art, literature, music, history but with Divine Comedy in Inferno he succeeded to amaze me. Don’t forget that Brown is at the same time Zobrist and Langdon and Sienna together with the information that they present in the book. And with this we could say that beauty of the Brown’s art is in presenting the past, playing with the facts that are familiar … But… Is that all?

No, fortunately, it’s not. I said that I believe that Dan Brown and his art will survive among piles of popular books nowadays simply because of this reason… That’s right… Dan Brown reaches out his hands to see the future. Inferno is already criticized because of it awkward prose, because of its predictability, also its dogberryism but Inferno was never panned because of its plot. The unique plot faces us with the problems of our world. As Sienna says most of the people just ignore the problems, actually, we deny the problems. Dan Brown decides to break that rule. He gives us the opportunity to see the new era of humans, while expensive present clashes with invariant past. He gives us opportunity to start doing something instead of denying.

Please, feel free to share your opinion about the work of Dan Brown, The Inferno or my review.

I've read 2 of his books. I think he's mentally ill. His books make no sense whatsoever.
All this guy does is pretty much pure madness and illness, pretty much reminds me of Picasso with his disgusting, socially repellent "paintings".

Oh, that's a little bit harsh. :erm:

But why do you think that?

Why do I think that? Because that's how it is.
Have you read his book titled Da Vinci's Code? It has nothing to do with, Da Vinci, his work, life or anything the man had ever done. It's just a mass of, Bull crap and some sexual innuendos.
The title itself is misleading. I don't know how he got away with that. Instead of being awarded as book of the year, he should've been sued for a misleading title, hate against the Christian church and the lies and fiction pertaining to Da Vinici in his book(s).

Have you actually read The Da Vinci Code? I hate to spoil the fun of reading the book for anyone, but the Monalisa and The Last Supper, two of Da Vinci's greatest works are the key to finding out about the existence and to a certain extent even the location of the Holy Grail.

Guy hates the author and sadly that is the end of all possible arguments.

*... meaning the user is retarded, so by definition he is less developed mentally than it's normal for a particular age or according to urban dictionary he is stupid or idiotic (very stupid).

Every human being has right to have an opinion, no matter is that opinion dumb or 'retarded', so there is no need to insult each other. #justsaying
