Lol how? He got a serious head injury from an explosion, it actually makes sense and explains why he didn't get in contact with Ace and Luffy all these years

That's why I always try to finish my work first before reading OP chapter, or at least before I went to bed. It's like a self-reward. If the chapter had me bawling like a kid, I'll bawl alone at a corner...
