[Daily Analysis Column] Why Naruto is the Perfect Hero? (Section 1)

This is not a fanboy analysis. I have tried to consider the subject of the study from objective and unbiased points of view. However, any objection, opposition and disagreement is welcome.

Well, considering that this analysis is to some extent long, I divide it into 3 Sections so that you guys are not bored reading it and also can read it more critically without any bother.

Section 1:

There's rampant crappy analysis from people who cry "weak storytelling". Many don't seem to understand the story, or Naruto (and Sasuke) as characters.

To begin with, Part 2 [Shippuden] is not supposed to be the same as Part 1. It never was. Part 1 was child-Naruto training to be a ninja in school. Part 2 is young-adult-Naruto learning what it means to be a man in an ugly world.

Sasuke and Naruto had a rivalry AND a friendship in Part 1. Sasuke abandoned both at the end of Part 1 when he said very clearly and succinctly that the past he shared with Team 7 was over and that he would cut those bonds.

Naruto holds on to friendship, but the theme of "rivalry" is really more about conflict. The question is important: Is it possible to have a healthy relationship with someone you are competing against? In Part 1 the competition was simple and that answer was an obvious "yes." In Part 2 the competition is not mere competition but actual conflict. Sasuke's goals and Naruto's goals are not aligned. If Sasuke attacks Konoha, they will be contradictory.

The "rivalry" between Naruto and Sasuke now is a difference in philosophy.

Just wait bro. It was the first section of my analysis. Moreover, the new methods of criticism and analysis are based on "Formalist" and "American Critic" in which you should analyze a work using only its internal elements (including motifs, events, settings, dialogues and so on). Therefore, the principle thing u mentioned is off.

Part 1 not same as part 2 everyone knows that.
But Part1 wasn't about Naruto trying to be ninja in school.It was about Naruto making his way of the ninja and putting the foundation to the values that he will follow and treasure afterwards.Plus it was the part when he made all his connections-bonds that allowed him to mature in the future.
Shippuden is about Naruto truly following his values and shaping his personality through hard times and pain.Plus coming closer to his dreams.
Kakashi-Guy have a perfectly healthy friendship-rivalry relation,Neji-Lee had one,Ino-Sakura etc,etc.
At the end in deep friend feelings that Naruto have for Sasuke that makes him act the way he does.He still tries to save him.
On that point Sasuke doesn't have any interest in Naruto.Sasuke will always be frustrated by the fact that Naruto gets stronger and stronger because his goal in life was always power.Naruto had other dreams so he can put aside those feelings and no longer sees Sasuke as a rival to overcome in power but as a rival to overcome in darkness and help him get on the good side.

agree to some extent but can't say this for sure. During fight with Haku he says to Naruto "u shouldn't die" and protected him actually because he was valuable to him. Even at the final valley he said to Naruto that I wanna sever bonds with you and become stronger because you are my friend
