To see if his brother was powerful enough, when in all reality, Itachi made himself stronger, just so he can pass on his qualities to his brother. He kept many secrets, he was loyal, and he was proficient in many fields other than Ninjutsu or Genjustu. He bottled up a lot of emotions, and is the epitome of a trooper, a true soldier, a true ninja.

Because his power in unlocking his Susanoo barely portrayed its potential due to his sickness, and because of his constant use of the Mangekyou Sharingan over the years fading his vision away, he goes off in his final walk towards his brother, and gives him a tap on the head.

Imagine if Itachi was completely healthy, at his prime, Sasuke definitely wouldn’t have been able to match his brother’s true powers. But Itachi, as we know, never wanted to kill his brother, he loved his brother so much.

It’s funny how the two brothers’ paths ended up:

Itachi holding the truth from everyone, and use of the Sharingan leading to eventual blindness, he still held on to his conviction of his love for his brother.

On the other hand, Sasuke seems to be descending into the darkness and becoming a full avenger, filtering out, blinding himself from other aspects of reality.

Actually, Itachi symbolizes those people in the society that make sacrifices and are simply "self-less" for the sake of others, protect people and are too humble to make any claims or to praise themselves and that's why we fail to observe their great contributions to society maybe until they die. How much we really tried to be Itachi in our real life? How much we sacrificed ourselves and things that we love for the sake of our society, country,... ?

Incredible analysis, Kishimoto would be proud to know there are still Naruto fans that fully understand his work.
I want to read more analyses from you. :D

I read the Gai and Lee one yesterday, I didn't read Neji's one but I'll read it tomorrow. Anyway, what's the character you'll do the next analysis ?

First I wrote a short analysis of Iruka. But it was some time ago, so I will present it once again tomorrow to make my "Daily Analysis Column" consistent and in order
