In an interview with George RR Martin, the author of Game of Thrones, he quoted "Targaryens are not immune to fire."

But how can Daenerys survive the burnings after she set the Khals on fire and surved the burning of Khal Drogo's body?

I understand that Daenerys has a tolerence to heat and has developed some kind of heat resistance to it. But if she and her family is not immune to fire then how do she keep surviving them?

:wut:

Plus, when Daenerys gave birth to a stillborn, Durr the witch stated the baby had scales and appeared dragon-like.

I think only a few special targarians have immunity to fire that's why her brother didn't have that immunity

Other than that in not sure if it's just a random genetic trait or something else

Her immunity to fire is something you have to take with a grain of salt, in the books she is highly susceptible to high temperatures yet her skin didn't burn when she hatched her dragons in the flames but she did lose her hair. Now it makes since for her to be totally immune to the flames for the sake of entertainment so HBO has to exacerbate that particular element, who didn't love seeking Daenerys walk through flames maked? Lol

It's called an adaptation...not everything in the book is going to translate exactly to the show.

What I'd like to know is how only she is immune to fire and not other Targs like Viserys.
